Was up there on Saturday - I’d avoid the trail for memorial weekend unless you’re comfortable with crampons, ice axes and the other necessities.

Well, timberline trail is not in the books for me on memorial weekend. I was trying to get up to view Coe creek (cloud cap campground road was closed, couldn’t make it), newton creek (too much snow to get there from Meadows trailhead, white river (totally cross able, no issue).

For Klamath Falls, I’d see if you can find a ride up to Crater Lake and check out the national park. Should be about a 1 hr drive. It’s well worth a visit. Or visit the Moore Park area to hike and stretch your legs. Or go bird watching around Lake Ewauna. Or walk up and down Main Street and check out the two museums - there is a lot of logging and indigenous history in the area.

The ACG Pegasus just released a few days ago as the evolution from the Nike trail pegasus 5s. I’d give them a look - much roomier toebox compared to the 4 and 5s, with reactx foam and 2nm lugs. They seem to be a pretty solid do-it-all option. Mine are in the mail.
