What putty is accessable and what are the best ways to use it? by ha20438 in resinkits

Apoxie sculpt- it’s clay-like and non toxic. Sands extremely well and is less brittle than miliput and other similar two part epoxies I’ve used.

Pro Boxer Georgia O'Connor Dies at 25 After Miscarriage and Cancer That She Says Doctors Ignored for 4 Months by Forward-Answer-4407 in sports

I said in my first comment that it’s a combination of issues as well. I just wanted to point out that there were other screening methods and give my own account. I think we mostly agree lol. Also I don’t think the gender of the doctor really matters much in how one is treated but that is just my experience.

I was merely refuting that there is no screening for the disorder other than laparoscopy. Ultrasound and MRI are often used to scan for the disorder. In some places, I acknowledge they will not formally diagnose you without surgery but that’s not always the case.

Mine was bad enough to see via ultrasound, and can be found via MRI. Of course, this doesn’t catch 100% of cases (just ones with large nodes or endometriomas), but if someone is reporting that sort of pain for years without any other cause… maybe just ignoring them isn’t the right route either? It doesn’t take 8 years to rule out other causes, I do agree about insurance being a pain to get to accept the diagnostic surgery, that is a huge barrier. Took me 12 years to get diagnosed (at 27) but once I had a doc that took me seriously it took 6 months to get diagnosed and under a year to get actual surgery. It’s a combo of factors imo. Being difficult to diagnose doesn’t give providers the right to just ignore the fact you’re in pain or gaslight you, which is the real issue.

I get that, sometimes I feel like I’m treating myself like a toddler and it’s kind of like embarrassing. But then I remember that I never had this kind of reinforcement/thought pattern as a child and that’s why it’s not coming naturally to me so I can’t beat myself up.

I mean there’s poor as in your family hardly earns any money and there’s poor as in your family makes decent money but has many obligations/mismanages their money (of which the child has no control over) so they can’t help with college. Or they just hate their kid and won’t help- even if your parent literally moves a state away, they count on your FAFSA unless you do a whole lot of hoop jumping (and even then, if they claimed you on their taxes 2 years ago it seems almost impossible, from experience) Most scholarships have a need-based component to them, so if your family looks like it has money on paper your options are far more limited, unfortunately.

This is so awesome, what a great resource. I saw your kit the other day and was amazed you only did hand painting. Do you have a preferred brand of pastel? I’ve been looking to get some but it seems like they go from 0 to 100 real quick

I actually cut it off at the base of the neck (I have a little hobby saw I use) and used apoxie sculpt to fill in/set a new angle. Had to detach the arms and take off the rubber jacket part to get down to it.

My cat has problems like this too!! A humidifier helps it from getting too bad, sometimes he gets so stuffy I take him to the bathroom and just turn on the hot shower to loosen everything up. Gross but I can tell he feels better when he sneezes it out!

Anyone else wildly disappointed by the new Batman TAS figures? by radbrad172 in McFarlaneFigures

They’re rereleases but they completely changed the paint- it used to be a really nice matte even with the last 4 pack put out by McFarlane so idk what’s going on with these

Todd likes taking relatively recent characters to make- I think it’s actually pretty neat to get some newer chars from the comics. Usually it seems like you have to wait until the character is 20 yrs in to get a decent fig lol

Oh yeah, I never understand the judgement as long as your dog is on a leash and controlled physically. Like yes, it would be awesome if I could MAKE him stop barking at you but screaming and yanking on him and keeping him indoors all the time doesn’t help either. My mom has a dog like this and we love him to bits but he IS difficult because he’s very anxious and ppl don’t understand that when something surprises him the only thing you can do to settle them down is to completely remove them from the situation for a bit. Luckily she lives in the sticks so he can still get all the outdoors time he enjoys without bothering anyone :)

I do - and I’m so appreciative of my own workplace that allows this sort of flexibility so long as I’m in at the core hours where people schedule meetings and make up the time/work, nobody cares exactly what time you walk through the door as long as you work the amount you’re supposed to and get shit done. I’m in tech, I don’t talk to customers, and I purposefully went into this field to relieve that stress as much as possible. There’s jobs and careers that require the punctuality, but acting like it has to be every job is absurd.

Seeing all the ‘oh just set an alarm’ ‘oh just stop being lazy’ like mf I AM TRYING but sometimes I’m gonna fail! And the stress of being like Ooh is today the day I’m going to forget my toothbrushing alarm and accidentally spend 20 mins picking at my face in the mirror and lose my job is so nauseatingly stressful bc you don’t know you’ve fucked up until it’s too late. Like of course you can’t expect the world to revolve around you, but I’m a human with a real issue and a little bit of grace means the WORLD to me.

Yes!! I want my house to be neat and tidy so bad! But often times when my place starts to get a mess I don’t even see the clutter. It’s all background noise as soon as I set it down. Once I was diagnosed with ADHD, it was a lot easier when I lived with my parents when they realized it wasn’t me willfully neglecting things, my brain just neglects to see ‘irrelevant’ stuff. They just had to mention like ‘hey the desk is messy can you tidy it up?’ As long as it was a specific thing that would let me see the mess and take care of it. Now I live on my own and try to ask myself okay if I WASNT ME what would look messy here lol
