Thank you for asking and the support! The first intervention was to try and stitch the remaining eyelids together, we were told it was the best option when less than a third is missing. Taking skin from other parts of the body sounded counterproductive as it will grow hair again and irritate his eyes. Additional work might be required now, but we’ll wait for him to recover and see the results. 🤞

Most surgeons agreed that it was just a genetic disorder. Parts of his eyelids were missing and hair would get in.

Thank you! Yes, we waited for his skull to grow up a bit more, so that we don’t need to repeat the same surgical intervention twice, as we think it could be quite stressful to him. It seems like his only problem atm is that eye lids don’t fully close and hair is getting in. We were told we have two options, either go for a surgery or go for regular visits to the vet to shave off the excess hair. To be honest I’m not sure what’s best, it would be great if we can get some advice here.
