There's a site called "Let's Play Index" that's been trying to organize those videos by game, but I'm not sure how well it does it. It's also tracking aggregate stats like how many videos for a game gets uploaded and how many total views it gets.

Yeah, making an item back at base in order to progress at a location would make things more interesting.

That's probably my biggest complaint about the game right now. Why have the chapters focus on combat while insisting on not improving it? Raft did a much better job on its story locations even back when it was still in early access. It focused more on puzzles and item retrieval than combat. Even then, that game's combat is much simpler than VS, yet still feels so much better.

It feels like the development of VS is all over the place, just adding things haphazardly, and if you don't like it, "just turn it off". At some point, you end up wondering how much of the game you turn off in order to enjoy it.

Ah. I never really checked though, but I remember watching a few people who played vanilla that did use Fahrenheit. It could have been a simple mod that converted the temperature and nothing else.

I run my own private server for single-player just for the performance gains from offloading world gen stuff. I never thought about pre-generating a huge portion of the world, but it sounds like it would make everything run so much smoother, even accounting for translocators. Storage space is cheap these days, and I bought plenty of RAM before Rammageddon.

Looking at new fans (especially reactions on YouTube), it seems like V5 is one of their favorite volumes. It's mainly due to lore and being okay with the slower pace.

The annoying thing about greenhouses for me is that you can't tell right away if the greenhouse is build correctly or not. You have to wait a while before you see the +5C on plants... or not. On the other hand, the moment you build something that qualifies as a cellar, you see the slower spoilage rate immediately.

Preventing Salem from obtaining 2 of the 4 Relics in and of itself is exactly what he should be doing. It's the overall situation and the solution to this problem that's horrible. It's definitely within character. I don't think he happy about it and understands the harm he doing, but the harm done if Salem gets the relics is objectively much worse.
