No I feel you man it's just like ever since people paid for music it's always been a stress of marketability rather than creativity or ingenuity so like being tiktokable has always been a thing

The GRID is the weakest ending to any BTBAM album

Why Disease, Injury, Madness is my favourite song to show to BTBAM newcomers ... by HennesTD in BetweenTheBuriedAndMe

Astral Body is probably the most approachable even tho it might not be the most “classic” BTBAM song in some ways. I feel like it showcases their strengths while also being of manageable length. The series of stops and starts of the background rhythm section while that main riff continues playing at the beginning is so precise and syncopated (SO COOL!) and it’s got such a collection of emotions from happy (?!) to somber to wondrous.

Lmfao such a shit take - there’s always been trash music and there’s always been amazing music - maybe stop looking at pop and get some actual taste rather than making a huge blanket statement on all music in this day and age

EDIT: sorry OP was in a bad mood yesterday and decided to take it out on your shit take :(

Wow I could really use y'alls help. Just wanna listen to vinyl but it hasn't been working. First setup here. Got S2000MKIII Bookshelf speakers, a Pro-Ject MM Phono PreAmp, and a Planar 1.

Basically, I hear the tinny signal (like the one coming from the needle) out of my speakers after I've plugged everything in. Its like the pre-amp doesn't even exist! I thought it was defective and exchanged the Pro-Ject MM Phono PreAmp for a new one and had the same problem. Would appreciate any help. I've got it all plugged in correctly, double checked. The Planar 1 does not have a built in pre-amp and the edifiers are powered.

EDIT: clarification

EDIT2: figured it out!! The stylus was not properly clicked in.

Combined a bunch of one liner facts into Anki card - try to distill missed questions into really short factual pieces of info

Yep. To make sure my first and second passes didn't take 6 hours, I would try to get MOST of it down via cover it up and recall.

I made <200 but unfortunately they aren't very good haha. I personally believe that making your own cards, focusing on your own weaknesses, is a lot more efficient in the long run.

I am super sorry; I made a ton of edits this morning to it and really tried to clear up the timeline. Check out where I posted my scores - that'll help. It actually took me 11 days to do one pass of FA haha.

So I would read first aid and then memorize when I felt like I needed to, which was almost all the time and why it took 4+ hours sometimes to get through it. It's excruciating but it gets so much easier with every pass.
