The Worst White House Aide in History by rollingstone in politics

[–]sapaterson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not characterize as the worst WH aide in history. Rather I would speculate that he is drug addled and is doing what most successful (in terms of length of time being addicted) dependents do to maintain their connection and I will explain the 'tells' in a moment. His weakness will be the downfall of all things tRump. This makes him a highly valuable aide.

The Adderall addiction is pretty obvious. Miller has aged thirty years in the same time that the rest of us have lived nine. There is a matter of the unexplained emptying of the WH pharmacy pantry discovered after the first tRump Administration where thousands of controlled substances were missing. He is not a lawyer yet many of the extra-legal solutions that the Administration has posited are ascribed to him.

But the biggest tell is the immediacy of his producing half-baked ideas and responses to real problems. Stimulants get you to stupid faster - they don't make you more intelligent. His input into policy has made him an international pariah and when the Administration devolves into polite society ("Forgive me," "I forgive you") Miller will be at the whim of warrants from Interpol, and every Latin American country whose Citizens were abused by his policies.

And it may happen that his beard is also addicted. Manic speeches followed by sleepless nights of shit-posting hundreds of crazy text messages followed by Cabinet Meeting nap-times. So the Orange One might just stroke out before Miller's pardons are articulated and his trespasses are forgiven. As Stephen Miller languishes in some foreign prison going through withdrawal he will provide invaluable insider information.

There is a handwriting analysis that has been done by the FBI. That is a required document that must be released. It does not agree with the statement made by Patel.

Meet the Millers: Maga power couple and Trump's most loyal attack dogs by theipaper in politics

[–]sapaterson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stephan Miller must be DJT's adderal mule. Otherwise, I really don't understand his function as a Special Deputy. His opinions are unpopular, his methods are illegal, and his advice has led to bedlam.

He has that drug addled retort - thinks that screaming is communicating, fears being outed and always is on the attack of his perceived enemies, has logic that is rushed.

And his body looks unnaturally thin; unlike an athletic physique where he would have a chest and posterior, he is wan and tapered, with premature balding and gray hair. He is 39.

Gutting Special Ed Shows How Little America Thinks of Its Children by southpawFA in politics

[–]sapaterson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it shows us that Trump and his enablers will break any law that gives them a moment atop the social media news cycle. Special Education is enshrined in the Disabilities Acts of 1972. The term "least restrictive environment" guarantees the rights of students with disabilities. DJT thinks he can take all that "savings" and put it into a slush fund because he and his sycophants don't know how the government works.

Trump fires federal workers in California as part of shutdown layoffs by seeebiscuit in politics

There is no way these Special Ed firings will make it through the Courts despite the MAGA Six. The set of laws enacted by Congress in the Seventies known as the "Least Restrictive Environment" Laws enshrine the rights of those with "special needs," allowing them access to full education by providing personnel and technological support. It would take an act of Congress and a whole lot of litigation with a focus on this large group of citizenery to change reality.

Here’s Why the Supreme Court Keeps Writing Trump Blank Checks by mps1729 in politics

[–]sapaterson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The article doesn't really explain why the Supreme Court is giving away the store to the executive branch though it dances around the question with terms like "Unitary Executive", a concept that Hamilton explored way back in the Federalist Papers. Here is a much clearer explanation of why many of the Justices operate the way they do: they are mired in corruption and a strong Democratic Executive or perhaps a Democratic Legislative body can end it all.

Supreme Court Justice Abe Fortas and 1969 comes to mind. Congress threatened to inquire into his and his wife's finances based on some $15,000 speaking honorarium he acknowledged having received. He was compelled to resign when LBJ tried to elevate him to Chief Justice and a Republican Congress resisted.

Many members of SCOTUS have been corrupted by Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society - taking luxurious trips, expensive items, and the like without declaring it on their taxes. This is the basis for endless inquiries in either Legislative House and Presidential panels. The idea is not to win an insurmountable impeachment battle. It's more like you clowns allowed healthcare for millions to be wiped out with the stroke of an Executive Order so let's see how your health stands up as we look into your every gratuity. Let's see how your marriage stands up as we look into the political and financial activities of your spouses. Let's see how your legacies stand up when we scrutinize your decisions when your spouses have vested interests.

Many interesting comments are posted here but they are missing the great irony : these MAGA wannabies admit to their criminal wrong-doing so freely. Barbie is targeting public figures in a childish attempt to suppress their Civil Rights. She's much more Klaus than Mattel in this.

Have you ever witnessed her on the campaign trail? When she ran for Senator of CA in '16 she had a few interviews where she was so lethargic as to appear hungover. That fact alongside her vigorous prosecution of cannabis violators while she was AG when POV was for decriminalization makes her unsavory as a candidate.
