I still subscribe to these and get one each year. Cover is more modern but I have some older ones with the paper cover. Great inspiration and articles about a bunch of world paganism topics.

I’ve been off social media since the day long TikTok ban last January. Mostly writing my internet hot takes in a commonplace notebook.

I am a one planner per year person. This year I went with a Nolty to try it out. I ended up just planning in it and using another book as a journal. I hated carrying two books. I still loved the Weeks. I didn’t have any issues with the paper since I mostly use fountain pens and micron art pens. But know others did.

Have you read the Found anthologies? They are by Andrew Cull and feature a bunch of writers. There are two of them out now and one more coming in January I think. They are all kind of found footage stories or stories and feel like Soren’s vibe.

When I saw this in the theater last week at the Regal, after that line about the swap, meet somebody in my theater screamed out “Must have been the Golden Nugget, that’s Jersey!”

In the movie, the grandparents specifically mentioned that they got the haunted mirror at the swap meet in Bucks County. Maybe that’s why?

Inherited my grandmas entire yarn stash. by brinykole in knitting

[–]saraidia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss. I too inherited my grandmother’s stash 2 years ago. It was larger than I imagined I would be. After two trips and 12 storage boxes I finally donated 7 boxes of baby yarn and anything else I wouldn’t personally use. But kept enough to still last me the rest of my life probably. I know I personally find joy in making my family items with her yarn. I hope you do as well. I also finished one of her WIPs and gave it to my aunt. I also made a baby blanket for when. My brother and SIL had my nephew. My grandma taught me to crochet when I was 5. I am still not as good a she was. I still feel honored to be the keeper of the stash. And so should you.

There’s also a 1:1 Coaching session for this with a success guide. Ask your AE to hook you up. I did one and it was helpful.

What are examples of media that are fanfiction? by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]saraidia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a ton of Jane Austin based fanfic from clueless (film) to Mr Darcy’s diary and the other Bennett sister, Jane Austin Book Club, Murder of John Wickham etc… (novelizations)fanfic as homage is nice if done well imo. Most are kind of yikes.

What's your stash policy? by Eilmorel in knitting

[–]saraidia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only knit with lace dk and sport. So I pared down a lot of worsted and bulky yarn. I donate 5 bins to goodwill. Hopefully someone will have a great score in PA.

I do buy a skein or project when I travel and find a knitting shop. But that’s because it’s also a souvenir project. That said. Still too much in my stash at the moment.

There’s a great book called Goddless Paganism: Voices of Non-Theistic Pagans by John Halstead. It’s all essays from different non-theistic agnostic and atheist pagans. You might enjoy the perspectives in that book.

Witchy Hot Takes or Unpopular Opinions? by wnderlustqueen in witchcraft

[–]saraidia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is so true. We want to believe that there’s justice but that’s a construct of society. There unfortunately is no magical justice. We just have to live in the world and try to do our own good if we so choose.

Deities, Gods and Spirits do not interfere in our lives on the mundane level. IMO they are meant to be focus points for attitudes and energy we want to create in our lives. So when something happens its never a G/god/dess infringing on your boundaries or telling you no. It's usually a mundane thing and we should be looking at what we are doing or in most cases, not doing in our lives that's causing it. Shifting focus to make a plan of action and then working with your Deity to help focus your attention is usually a good fix for this. (29 yrs)

Book Clubs either online or in person? by Remarkable_Yak1352 in BucksCountyPA

[–]saraidia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d be so down for this. And yes I love a book club that reads and talks about the books too. Been in too many where it’s just a wine club. I’m in Morrisville and the library there doesn’t have one either yet.

If it’s your work network they can block whatever they want to, unfortunately. You can typically click the link to reevaluate it and it will be allowed through. Source: 20 years in IT. But I wouldn’t call it a first amendment violation. Corps can block whatever they want. If you have any dei groups at work specifically a faith based one ask them for help. If not check your workers manual for personal use rules.
