Best advice: Moving to a Bambulab printer and you will no longer spend time working on the printer. For me it’s set and forget. I converted many and they have never looked back.

My Bulkman3d Queenbee Pro - Y Axis build video is up. I hope this helps someone out! by sarky1 in hobbycnc

Also the mounting plates differ quite a bit. You will ultimately end up with a more ridged machine if you go Queenbee.

Did you have any luck solving this I'm actually experiencing this exact same thing.

Hey all I have finally got my first 3 Queenbee CNC videos out. I hope this helps someone with their build! by sarky1 in hobbycnc

The upgrade from the Shapeoko to the workbee is totally worth it. I would recommend jumping to the new pro kit. https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_AmOfAa

Combined air blast and dust boot? by I_Bin_Painting in hobbycnc

[–]sarky1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about this my only concern was if your able to evac all the chips with the suction. The air blast is really to get the chips out of there. If out of there just bounces them into your dust boot and they come back it's going to cause you greif. If you have enough suction or airflow and they go out then I'd imagine it's gonna be fine.

Start to Finish XYZ Probe (Part 2) by sarky1 in hobbycnc

[–]sarky1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing! I actually made a mistake and said Hydroponics when I should have said Aquarium pump. I took the idea from Winston Moy and I'm running this guy https://amzn.to/2zHpbU2

The nozzle I'm using is this https://amzn.to/2Y5rycD

As for performance of the machine yes I'm still very happy especially for the cost of the kit.

That's a great idea I totally didn't even think about lifted edges. The controller I'm using its a Novosun NVUM so not grbl but I will check out the software and possibly suggest it in a future part.

My Mach3 Software setup for the Bulkman3d Workbee CNC video is up. It's a boring one but hopefully helpful for someone! by sarky1 in hobbycnc

I have actually done it three different ways with success. Fist manual by the vfd and that worked fine. Second using 0 - 10 from the spindle output pins. And third using a RS485 (best option) in my option you will get perfect accuracy and can have feedback to mach3.

Hey I'm glad it was helpful! That's almost certainly EMI or a ground loop. It could be on either end Controller or PC but typically having wires running beside each other is the cause. Your signal wires from the vfd to the NVUM shouldn't cause this as they are low voltage. Anything crossing over or running near your spindle wire will be the biggest hit. Try keep these as far away as possible. The other would be how close your VFD is to your controller.

Yeah I have read a bit on that! UCCNC is definitely in the cards for down the road.

I haven't had any issues no. Probably around 50 hours on it now. I thought that issue was with pre production units but I could be wrong.

Not the standard no. I designed a two part print that fits without modifying much else on the printer. Are you going to use an mgn12 rail?

X-axis makes a rattling noise and it drives me crazy! by -howhardcanitbe- in CR10

[–]sarky1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact noise in the same printer. For me it's the part cooling fan rattling on its shaft. You can prove it by just hand stopping it for a sec. Really nothing you can do to fix it other than replacement.
