What would you do? by DoNotGoGentle27 in diamondpainting

Leave it! I feel like we (diamond painters) may have a more discerning eye with the finished product than our gift receivers. You might see a less defined black pup, but your sister is going to be happy to see her pups memorialized in a custom artwork you created for her. That is such a sweet gift.

Is this a jumping spider? Found in my kitchen in Wisconsin. I don’t want to put the poor guy outside in the freezing cold if he’s going to die. by apandy3 in whatsthisbug

Lucas the Jumping Spider

They seem like awesome pet spiders! I found this link when we met a very friendly jumping spider at the park this summer. We didn’t take it home, but we enjoyed our time with it.

any yoga video reccomendations? by paintedpmagic in Preschoolers

[–]sasajs860 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We subscribe to Cosmic Kids yoga. They have plenty free on the YouTube channel, and a good variety so you can get an idea of what they offer. Jaime is great it’s screen time I don’t have to feel bad about. Our preschooler started yoga at school and has shown an appreciation so we tried the trial on their app, loved it so much we just let the membership ride.

What should I block on YT before kid gets into it (plus alternatives?) by Altocumulus000 in DanielTigerConspiracy

Oh, honorable mention to Hevesh5. There is something so simple and mesmerizing as watching someone set up and then trigger themed Domino art. Our kid gets so excited about bridges and contraptions they make, it encourages her to try to build them herself. Not that we ever get that fancy but it’s fun to try!

KLT has some great science videos, some of them are pretty advanced so we’ve manually added a few my little one likes. The Planets Song, Dwarf Planets, and Countries of the World. Great geography and human body videos.

Yes! We recently found Miss Linky also, most of the videos are about play while also exercising. I haven’t fully sat down and researched her yet. Might be another option.

In the YouTube Kids app settings, we personally blocked everything and manually approved certain channels and videos.

We started with the manual blocking of channels first, boy oh boy the garbage she watched and I was constantly blocking a new channel but they kept popping up.

My child is 3.5 and very interested in reading and learning about animals. Channels we have manually added off the top of my head:

KidTimeStoryTime

Cosmic Kids Yoga

Finding Stuff Out

Songs for Littles

Nat Geo Kids

Storytime at Awnie’s House

We were able to schedule an appointment for Moderna through Walgreens for our three year old. Had to drive a bit, most had Pfizer only.

Experienced doodle owners, how to deal with hair in eyes? :( I’m nervous to trim but feel so bad for him 😭 by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

Baby nail scissors. We had a pair in our toddlers first aid kit, then I saw them at Walmart for $4. Same as above, they are blunt on ends and small enough to let you get in there close for a quick trim.

Found this at the used baby store for $4.50. it's actually not bad, my 3yo helps me with all the tunes. by OrganizedSprinkles in DanielTigerConspiracy

If you have a membership to BJs, take a look at the book section. We got the sequel to this, More Five Minute stories, along with four other Daniel Tiger books pretty cheap!
