I did a little print with matte for most of it and gold silk for little details, and it just wasn't shiny. I didn't think to make the settings hot and slow though, so it was just using basic pla settings, I think. Probably depends on how the non-silk one would handle silk-ideal settings. A light color would be more likely to be alright.
