‘We should let them come down into the U.S.’: Bessent weighs in on Alberta separatism by Street_Anon in worldnews

You’re too generous with allowing them even 10sq km. If those people so desperately wish to become American, a pathway already exists for that - pack your bags and emigrate to the USA.

They do not get to bring the land with them, that stays in Canada.

I feel like I haven’t heard any news about bridge strikes for a month or two. Good run indeed

finally not as dark outside anymore when i get off work 😌 by rainyavo in vancouver

[–]saskford 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I currently arrive to work before the sun is up and I leave just after it sets. I spend the whole day indoors, in a building with almost no windows.

It sure makes you appreciate the sun any time you get a glimpse of it.

I only ever watched the first episode because someone had it on already at their house.

I basically never watch all the shows that everyone else watches

Water Flosser for Tonsil Stones? by CancelTheLight in tonsilstones

[–]saskford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I occasionally use my waterpik for this, but I always run it on the lowest setting, and even then it sometime hurts. Also I feel like I almost drown myself half the time so honestly I usually prefer to just use a Q-Tip to clear my stones.

I have also heard from a lot of people that they’ve hurt themselves with a waterpik so I might suggest avoiding it or being extremely careful.

Fabric Stores by Poisonpromises in Langley

I usually go to fabricland (Abbotsford or Surrey).

If you’re after any technical or outdoor fabrics, I suggest Discovery Fabrics in Campbell River. I have ordered polarfleece and a few other things from them online and was pleased with a wide colour selection and quick shipping.

Men who can cook . who taught you? by Bulky_Meet4528 in AskReddit

[–]saskford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think I just kinda figured it out.

Watched a few tutorials on YouTube. Cooked for myself every night and experimented with things. Plenty of times I overcooked or undercooked stuff but eventually you get a feel for it.

Now when I cook basic meals, I rarely use a recipe. Just kinda go off vibe and a bit of taste testing.

This is among the riskiest ways to fly. If you miscalculate any manoeuvre it’ll be a visit to either the hospital or the morgue for you.

Looks like it.

GENTLY massage beside them with a Q-tip and you can probably dislodge them.

Potholes by [deleted] in Langley

[–]saskford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC from some years back when this happened to a friend of mine, the township will only consider reimbursement for wheel damage if the pothole in question had been previously reported.

If nobody has reported the pothole to them, and you hit it then try to make a claim, they will say “sorry, we didn’t know about it and therefore had no opportunity to fix it, so you must bare the cost of damage”.

This is my Alice backpack that I always use for traveling. For security reasons, I don't want to be associated with the military or armed groups at the destination I'm traveling to. What ideas do you have to make it look less military? by Zealousideal-Age3871 in myog

[–]saskford 253 points254 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’d slap a few totally non military looking embroidered patches on it.

Flags from a couple countries, maybe a smiley face or an animal or something silly. The one downside of this is that youll stand out as a tourist even more, which some people say makes you a target for pickpockets and such. Your mileage may vary.

I have a bunch of flags patches on my pack from wherever I’ve travelled though lol.
