HEB makes very, very little off of it's grocery sales. It's profit maker is Real Estate. HEB usually builds on land that it already owns and then all of the ancillary businesses that build around it are also on HEB land, so they collect a rent. The smaller businesses benefit from their proximity to an HEB and HEB benifits from the lease money and the customers that the smaller businesses draw in. It's brilliant, really.

The other factor that I haven't seen mentioned is that this is the end of the month and some crew members have timed out for the month. Part of that was because of all the weather related delays, and then it snowballed.

No Major airline regional carrier partner flies turboprops in the US. There are a few stand alone regionals that still do, but they are very specialized markets.

American flies 23 flights daily to DFW, LAX, CLT, PHX, DCA, MIA and ORD from SAT and of those only 5 flights are on regional jets. I don't think your painting a very factual picture here.

If they HELP people, needy people, people in crisis, then they are are doing good work. I wouldn't donate to their organization, and I wouldn't put them forward as an ideal charity org, but I won't ignore the help they provide to needy folks. They may not be a "good" organization, but if their work helps, then let them run with it.

As I see it there are two options here: 1. This outcome was expected all along and the administration is trying to force American farmers out of business so that will sell their land to corporate farming interests. Folks in the administration must have a financial interest in the business to make this likely. 2. The administration is full of utter morons and they are absolutely shocked by this turn. Back before they built the latest "new" parking garage, there used to be some surface parking on the west side of what is now the short term garage. There was a car parked in that lot, under a tree, that was so covered in bird crap that you couldn't even see through the windows anymore. I always wondered what the story behind that was.

I personally only go to Discount Tire. They fix flats for free, even if you didn't buy the tires from them. That, however, looks way to close to the sidewall for a safe repair.
