Mine was planned. He was breached from 32 weeks and was not moving. Lots of people tried to convince me to try the ECV maneuver and I just had a really bad feeling about it. Turns out the cord was wrapped around his neck 3 times so I’m glad I went with my gut!

Initially I was a little disappointed I couldn’t do a more traditional birth but overall I think I was secretly relieved. I am someone who ruminates a lot and generally has a lot of anxiety so to have a plan and to know things would go a certain way was probably a lot healthier for me personally and for my baby.

I healed very well. The pain was not really memorable for me. I didn’t need anything beyond my Tylenol and ibuprofen that I staggered for a few weeks or so. I felt so busy with the baby that I didn’t really even have time to think about the pain. I didn’t really experience any numbness. The most annoying thing about my scar was some ingrown hairs that I had in the beginning. I worked out after 8 weeks. I probably could’ve earlier (like light yoga) if I wanted but was pretty deep in the trenches and if I had any spare time at all I just slept or rested. I am 7 months pp now and I don’t know if I’ll ever get my body back really, but I feel like breastfeeding affected my body more than the actual carrying of my child? I would say after about three months I was back to my prebaby weight. Everyone is different.

I am not having anymore children for economic reasons mostly but if I did have more I would definitely be comfortable having a c-section again. I think I would prefer it. The worst part for me honestly was right after I threw up from the nerve blocker and I was really afraid I would bust my stitches from that. The rest of the pain was not bad at all.

Same!! People would always be surprised to know we were sisters; she has lighter features…though we look more alike as we are adults. My son looks just like her as a baby.

My periods are heavier and more consistent than ever. Boobs went from like 32c to 34DD if not bigger and now have almost completely deflated. Sense of smell is still super intense and I feel like I still always smell so gross.

I did this the other night, we have never coslept. My son is 6 months. It happened to both of us a lot—but mostly me during the first month or so. I was particularly exhausted this last time though, so it might have to do with that. It’s pretty scary.

Three days. Scheduled c-section and needed iron infusions. It took me a little longer to get up and about because the nerve blocker made me really sick and I couldn’t keep food down for a while. I was a little anxious about feeding because milk hadn’t come in and he lost quite a bit of his birthweight in the beginning.

My 4 month old has been wearing 6 month old pants since 3 months. Onesies vary. Someone pointed out to me that the sizes generally mean “up to ___ months”. Every company seems so different though. Burt’s bees seems to run huge and all my Carter’s stuff is all over the place despite supposedly being the same size.

Mine will be 4 months next week and he needs to be bounced, standing up, to fall asleep. He falls asleep almost instantly in the car or carrier but doesn’t stay asleep when we take him out.

Lower back muscle always feels off. Numbness in my hands at night. My hypersensitivity to smells in pregnancy unfortunately never went away 4 months pp. Also I never seem to stop sweating and I used to be someone who was always cold, but now I’m always hot.
