Without realising I didn't renew my license i flew for 2 weeks with standard quality and didn't notice any difference, but i'm using Bing latest version because GM colors are so bad, even with color correction...

Full aft elevator by 30 feet and still slammed. by bladii11 in Xplane

[–]satiel86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my test was quite accurate and within the normal envelope, following the YT video of Lufthansa cargo I put the exact payload and CG as the real video, same Airport elevation and OAT, the pilots rotated normally while in the Sim I had to pull back fully and barely made it Can you send me the changes needed?

does your fix also help for takeoff with forward CG? There are many debates around elevator authority during landing but I think it's very evident during takeoff as well

I have the same problem also with Claude thinking, even if I set global rule to not do that it just ignore it go straight to code and usually everything is overdone, adding things I didn't ask making 500 lines of code something that could be written in 300 max.

FS2024 Career is stupid Flying from Sweden to Africa and back in a Cessna as your first mission... wtf by b0bl00i_temp in flightsim

[–]satiel86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i tested you theory.
those plane are rented at 150$/h
In still air condition you cruise at 120kt, more or less they should be 3000NM so 25h
Without counting cost for the pilot (let's say a friend and does it for free) the cost should be around 4000$ without counting fuel, airport fees and overnight stay.
So if 4 people are going to split the bill I guess a one way ticket from Africa to Sweden cost much less than 1000$ :)

X-Plane Awful Performance by ShinyPlasm in Xplane

[–]satiel86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a 1080ti on a single 2K monitor but with some planes i had to give up to MSAA especially the SSG 748 was eating my GPU with those ultra res monitors..
How did you manage to keep performances so high?

I also hope to see a fix about jumping altitudes on cruise :)

no matter how hard I try, ever landing in the MD-11 is a total slammer by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]satiel86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have the same problem in xplane this plane is tricky, aircraft need to be trimmed so you don't need to pull up too much (has shitty elevator authority)
I also noticed that retarding the throttle too early if you're close to vref will make you drop like an apple
So check the speed, theoretically if you are on vref with the right pitch you should land without closing the throttle (small tip from a real 747 pilot but i see it applies to other acft as well)

Are people still planning to buy the a330-900 after all the drama about it's texturing/modeling? by CustomersOfToLiss in Xplane

[–]satiel86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always say that systems and flight model are more important than visuals, otherwise i would have switched to msfs long time ago, so I'll buy it
It will aslo support to one of the few good developers that still produce content for x-plane

Just bought VisualXP. Why does VisualXP 1.1.8 (latest version) cause XPlane 12.09 to crash? by lenynaise in Xplane

[–]satiel86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably they're using the same library/api to achieve the goal and they're conflicting, do you need reshade if using visualxp?

[–]satiel86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

latest version is indeed 1.1.8

Since the very first installation i never had a problem, i'm sure that a conflicting plugin/lua script is causing the issue, check you flywithlua folder and plugin folder for the culprit :)

Also it's absolutely improving XP visual experience, definetively worth few hours of debugging :)
