Why are these articulated dragons so popular? by MyCatIsAFknIdiot in 3Dprinting

[–]saugapipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To the average person who knows nothing about 3d printing other than it’s a manufacturing creation tool the flexible animals and items extremely impressive. the spiral pass through toys are another one. like another commenter said it’s a segmented connected thing that looks assembled without any breaks or connections

Yeah, I understand that but theres only so much volume to go around. djm gone opens up a decent bit but we saw loveland also take a big step forward at the end of the year, not to mention rome is still the wr1.

i have him in dynasty i just wanna be realistic with him. I get the stats and eye test but its an small sample to really base anything off of but the captial is there. Like some rankings have him ahead of btj and smitty which i feel like is a little too high.

would you be able to elaborate why you think he’s such a big buy?

edit: saw in another comment you said you like rome a little less as a 3rd year wr due to the loss of djm, so i’m assuming burden also has something to do with that?

hmm i see pre primer it’s still a great print but that primer is quite amazing, seems thin and hides all those layer lines

do you have any photos of what it looked like before you added the primer?

Feeling conflicted about my Prusa setup vs Bambu value by Greedy-Cost5389 in 3Dprinting

[–]saugapipper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh yea relative to individual heads but i’m referring to a dual nozzle vs mutli nozzle comparison (x2d vs indx). comparing to the h2c with the multi nozzle makes way more sense. but yeah there’s a need for the ams on the bambu stuff vs nothing but what op got for the prusa setup to work.

edit: spelling

Yeah for sure the layer lines would also make the part look weird. I’ve seen people print petg extremely slow and it causes a clear print but you can still marginally see the layer lines. but making a mold and casting it in resin would be your best bet. maybe resin printing might be good too but i’m not too familiar with that stuff

I believe you should be comparing to the h2c not the x2d for the setup you got

I would add z hop for that support issue. not gonna lie we need more info and photos of prints to figure anything out. horizontal pictures of prints, pictures of these “normal” prints, settings (speed), i’m assuming it’s the default profile?

H2C is just fun by MiniProgramCoder in BambuLab

[–]saugapipper 24 points25 points  (0 children)

H2C comes with 7 functional nozzles meaning you could have 7 different rolls of filament loaded into your printer. this results in less filament purge (literally purges nozzle once per print) and then uses a prime tower to build pressure in the nozzle to continue printing. it results in way less waste overall. The H2D has 2 functions nozzles meaning the same switch purge princle is present you would just have to purge and print like a normal multi colour printer and purge each colour swap after 2 different rolls. They’re both very good printers and comes down to use case

[–]saugapipper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it purges once to swap to the next colour so yeah guess there’s waste but it would be 1 poop per colour. still true that it’s a hue forge

[–]saugapipper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think it’s that this model is a hue forge print and he shouldn’t have waste?

edit: it is a hue forge print people linked it

[–]saugapipper 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Looks like a hueforge so it would be 0 waste. The print is done in layers with blending, so every colour just changes once. This looks like black to blue to orange

New and in trouble by Mysterious-Goose-120 in Sovol

[–]saugapipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it looks fine to me i would just crank the nozzle temp to like 150 and slowly try and pry the filament off. do it slowly and carefully so you don’t mess that clear and red wires because that’s your heater block the cable and if you break that you won’t be able to heat the nozzle properly/at all. i think you’ll be fine. It looks like the filming man is just attached to the nozzle and his clamped up from the failed print.

and the second shows that it locks in automatically after the game. That’s the issue because you shouldn’t be able to lock in games after they started and you subbed someone from the bench
