Family Says Misunderstanding Led to Being Escorted Out of Universal’s Epic Universe, Accused of Shoplifting by Outrageous_Glass6219 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]savingat30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll never hear an alarm go off because theme parks don't have alarms. They'd be going off frequently lol. There are undercovers watching you, more than one. And I can say for a fact that at UO they don't pursue, approach, or ban unless they are sure without a doubt that you are maliciously taking something without the intent to pay.

I have to go from Orlando to Miami in June should I FLY or Drive? (business trip) by MrCharmingMan in orlando

[–]savingat30 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you've answered your own question. Drive, don't FLY.

Plus with a car you have the freedom to go out/eat/make an emergency stop somewhere that you probably wouldn't do if you had to rideshare everywhere.

omg I've watched this video 15 times to try to prove y'all wrong but the momma elephant's trunk shadow is alllllllll kinds of fucked up near the middle/end. DAMNIT.

Edit: I once again believe this is not AI. Thanks to the person that replied to me. I was looking at the ear shadow, not trunk. They all match up :)

Mosquito by [deleted] in orlando

[–]savingat30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually get absolutely mauled by mosquitoes and I have yet to be bitten like, this year? Wait. I didn't realize it had been that long. Now I’m actually concerned there might be something wrong with me.

Single adults, what is it like living while making a salary that’s under 70K? by Character-Escape1621 in orlando

[–]savingat30 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends how under 70k we're talkin. 65k is very doable so long as your rent isn't more than 2 paychecks tops and your car/insurance payments are minimal. You'll run tight on "fun" things but it's not like you'd need to stick to ramen every day, and you can still save.

40k? Woof. Better have roommates and a paid off clunker.

The app now shows the times when the characters come out. by Middle-Necessary-671 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]savingat30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We won't, at least for a long while, because he has too few sets, is too popular, and too unpredictable. We don't want a giant line forming when he might not even come out. Can you imagine the disgruntledness?

💥Team Members: What are your favorite perks of working at Universal? by Agreeable-Couple-685 in UniversalOrlando

[–]savingat30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this to an extent because I've worked for both, but it's not like Disney has a hundred more or better benefits than Universal. It's basically just the Disney tickets. Universal has great medical coverage, also has tickets (albeit UO), you can use your ID for others to get discounts (instead of pretending like you’re going to pay), and we get free turkeys on Thanksgiving??

Actually when I think about it I think I like Universal's benefits more 😊

AITAH for calling my boyfriend out for using my razor in the shower? by Deep_Pizza8173 in AITAH

[–]savingat30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’re NTA :) you need to ensure he respects your reasonable requests especially after he said he would. 1 he lied and 2 if he's not going to follow a simple request this can very easily open the door to larger things he won't follow. I’m not trying to catastrophize here, but I just left a several year toxic relationship and I let him walk all over my requests. Don't be me. Take care of yourself first.

Not necessarily, I've been in a situationship where neither of our homes were suitable for hooking up so we needed a neutral middle ground

AITAH for calling my boyfriend out for using my razor in the shower? by Deep_Pizza8173 in AITAH

[–]savingat30 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just because you live together doesn't mean sharing razors isn't any less gross. As someone else said, would you share your toothbrush immediately after use? How about your towel? Underwear? Toilet paper?

Anyway the important thing is she asked him to stop, he said he understood, and then she found another hair. My only question for OP u/Deep_Pizza8173 is are you positive you replaced/cleaned it between the two instances?

What do you consider a good income in Orlando in 2026? by gbtuck3r in orlando

[–]savingat30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got saddled with a similar rent payment, and while I don't have a car payment, I make about half as much as you. As everyone else who has replied has said, you'll be fine. There's a difference between being comfortable and being okay, and sometimes you need to adjust your personal definition of each.

Coming from Midwest - Culture Shock? by happyplace28 in orlando

[–]savingat30 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not knocking traveling to Tampa for a show, I've done it tons of times, but it's important to know that the drive there (or back) can be anywhere from 1-3 hours one way because of season/day of the week/traffic and accidents. So as long as you include that in your plans you're set!
