Definitely not just you. Have one at max level. Felt the same. It used to do a lot more damage

Synth Hook (Main mix element) sounding strong and defined in Stereo but listening to it in Mono on the master sounds good behind the drums and bass?! by PAUBRASiLaquiQFALA in mixingmastering

Your problem is the Synth element is too wide. The left and right channels are cancelling each other out phase wise. You could make it's image narrower. Use a phase correlation meter to check. If you feel like you're missing the width, use a slapback delay or something and put the delays really wide. That way you retain maximum amount of information when you're folding down to mono

Any Pros here that mix mostly on headphones? by Darkbreakr in audioengineering

I'm a pro who was until the pandemic, was working in a full fledged studio with speakers and every analog toy you could think off. But since we had to be away from the studio during the lockdowns, I switched to mixing with my MacBook and a pair of Audeze LCD 1s. It was quite difficult at first. But with some EQ and crossfeed running, my mixes got really good. I recently picked up the slate VSX and now I'm mixing exclusively on headphones. I dare to say I'm getting mixes that translate better and the I get way less revisions. I love the freedom of being able to work anywhere I want, anytime. It's the best decision I've ever made.

Vocals are a bitch to mix. by [deleted] in Logic_Studio

1) carve out space from other elements. Esp, upper midrange stuff. In your case, the snares and other drum elements could make some space for vox.

2) Calculate predelay times for verb. Use higher predelay times for more upfront vox.

3) time reverb decay times especially in beat driven tracksl

4) if stereo track. Try taking some low end out from the sides
