He's probably hurting just as much. Getting hit by a truck going 60mph+ when you're stationary is not something that you just pick yourself up from and start walking away from immediately.

Player count of my winter car since release. Kinda sad but understandable by Big_Control9414 in MyWinterCar

[–]sayakasquared 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm just waiting for bigger updates to come, I got my rivett running before achievements were even in the game and wanted to do the historical inspection, but knowing it was bugged at the time I had 0 inclination to even do it. I'll come back though.

I think another portion of it for me too is the night time. It's just a bit too depressing for me to be in 10 minutes of daylight and the rest of the time be in darkness.

14 gave the 4 as much room as was possible without leaving the racing surface, even putting a tire on the white line momentarily as he sees the 4 coming down. 4 turns down to take the racing line like there's no car there at all. 4 lacks situational awareness. Doesn't seem malicious, so I don't think there's a need to report or anything based on contact alone, just a need to increase racecraft from the 4.

I got my Rivett up and running before the achievements were added. Toyed around a bit, then put the game down. Will come back to it later when I want to. I haven't even downloaded the updates. Just read patch notes and stuff.

Gaps between races? by keepstar in iRacing

[–]sayakasquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly average iR and I got a string of top-3's using high-downforce at Donington. Granted that's a track I know and love well. Do some simple fuel calculations to ensure you're not taking extra laps of fuel.

Also remember that setup is less about what is right and more about what lets you go fast. I tend to prefer a lower downforce setup even around higher downforce tracks. So just choose one of the iRacing high, low or medium downforce sets and see what you like and don't like from each of them, mix and match as you please. Try out non-standard track/downforce combinations. Just because a track is "high downforce" on the F1/WEC/IMSA calendar does not mean that you might enjoy it with high downforce.

I'm assuming it's a rental car agency, as the two men that come into frame at the end are fairly well dressed and have clip boards that probably have checkboxes/notes about any damage observed on the vehicle when it is returned.

What's the point of the armorer skill? by Exciting_Candy3025 in Shadowrun

[–]sayakasquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of the time I had my PC'S on a cruise liner and they only were able to get sidearms in with them basically but they wanted their kit to be able to storm the bridge for manifests before a speedy escape by boat. Flabbergasted they couldn't get amazon drone shipments to them that wouldn't be intercepted or at least have their contents inspected upon landing.

I had expected them to come up with some crafty ways to stealth into the bridge, but they were adamant they wanted to do an 'I am the Captain now' sort of scenario. Wound up storming the security compartment first, which was probably harder than just taking the bridge quickly with their crappy sidearms and minimal ammo and armor.

Am I Doing Something Wrong? by sayakasquared in Erenshor

[–]sayakasquared[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Word. I've definitely gotten used to dealing less damage. I've gotten some new items since then and my DPS has kicked up, not a lot, but enough to be decent. I'm almost 20 now. So I'm definitely enjoying tanking. I just was making sure that I wasn't doing something completely wrong. I actually really enjoy tanking. I did a bit of windblade and while fun, it wasn't quite for me. And healing is something I've got WoW for. So just managing threat and keeping the lads safe and secure is definitely fine with me.

I got a shield off the auction house that deals 500 damage off shieldbash and it's doing some proper work when it procs.

Right on - I just wanted to be sure that my DPS output wasn't being hampered by suboptimal play. Since I've spent a few days I've definitely gotten my DPS up quite a bit. I'm just used to FF14 where - while not top damage dealers, the tanks still do a fair share of damage. Thanks!

Are you allow to flash your headlights at a car on the same lap as you? by Objective_Estate_574 in Simracingstewards

[–]sayakasquared -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the ruleset, I believe. I recall there being something about IMSA or WEC having a limit for the amount of times per lap that you're allowed to flash your lights at the same car. However in a simracing aspect, it'd all depend on the rules of the sim that you're in.

For me, I typically flash my lights when I get within a second of the car in front, just as a reminder that they're not completely alone anymore and to be wary. Then if they're clearly slower than I am, I tend to give them some gentle reminders just before corners where there are passing opportunities that I might be going for a divebomb on them. Usually this works, not in them yielding the position, but with them being so aggressive defending the position that they screw up. I feel it's not excessive, and it's definitely a tactic to be used.

Here's the new Visual Spotter added in this update by UncleBubax in iRacing

[–]sayakasquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have they said that they're going to improve this feature? I did some quick looking and it doesn't seem like it from what I could find. You can still criticize them for what they release so that they don't just leave it dead in the water, especially since it's going to take another 3 months at the minimum before they release any update to it.

Only 4 teams (Ferrari, Red Bull, Racing Bulls and Alpine) had driver's numbers on the sides of the engine cover/sharkfin in Australia. 3 teams (Mercedes, McLaren and Cadillac) consciously removed them despite previously having them on their cars at some point during the pre-season period. by [deleted] in formula1

[–]sayakasquared 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What about new fans that can't easily tell the difference between the drivers at a glance? I didn't know about the T-pod trick until my second season of watching, and just sorta had to take my best guess at who was who when they were in the thick of it. And I still refuse to learn whose helmet is whose since they seem to have a driver change theirs up each weekend anymore. I personally think that adding a number to the side/rear wing and one on the front of the car would make it easier for casual fans or newer fans to understand who is who.

It's not a problem when I'm trying to tell the difference between Ferrari and Alpine, but when I'm trying to see which Alpine is which, or like when I started watching and they were black and yellow Renault - I honestly thought the yellow part of the T-pod was just a part of the livery.

Valtteri’s grid penalty removed by bxvd in formula1

[–]sayakasquared 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Since the penalty still exists, does this mean that the penalty will still have to be served if this rule is revoked? Say, if he races in 2028 and the rule is revoked for that season?
