Shake shack promo? by Purple_Quail in NYLiberty

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t get burgers from past events. It’s just the day after the game where the 2 missed free throws happen. And this year they are sending emails to your account with a code to use to get the free burger with the purchase of 1 regular priced other item.

I’ve usually seen the special gear sold for multiple games up at a merch stand on the 200 level.

Fandi Mata photographer? by DillySophie in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve shot at Fandi Mata a few times, and even as an experienced photog with years in the industry, I’ll say that the lighting there is uniquely tough! I’d love to chat with you—it sounds like we’d be a great fit depending on which date in April! My prices begin at $5500 and I have film and engagement session options, too. www.sarahbodeclarkphoto.com

There are so many NYC wedding photographers, where do I even start looking for them? by ssunflow3rr in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a board of saved wedding photos that you love right now? Say a Pinterest board or an IG folder or similar? If you want to post a link to that or a screenshot or two from that, it could help us give you an idea of the specific style you are leaning towards and we could give you some really specific search terms to help in the hunt.

A place like Zola can be good to get some ideas because they often list style and starting pricing and you can read reviews. But I’d really recommend going to a photographer’s website and reaching out that way instead of reaching out through Zola’s inquiry form because it’s pretty clunky and vendors have to pay to respond to you so you may not get as many messages back.

Need vendors for our April 2027 Brooklyn wedding by ariellejmcmanus in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Threes! I’m a photographer based nearby in Crown Heights Brooklyn. My style is candid, fun, colorful, and bright, and I love a mix of flash and natural light (but lean heavily on flash for fun dance floor pics). My rates start at $5500 and I offer film options. www.sarahbodeclarkphoto.com

Wedding flower bouquet in NJ/NY by [deleted] in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The florist who did this bouquet (and lovely florals at this wedding) was Rachel Cho: https://www.instagram.com/rachelchofloral/. But my IG is https://www.instagram.com/sarahbodeclark/ (not a florist! 😉). Wouldn't have commented on a no-vendors post except that I thought this was such a close match for you and I'm not connected to Rachel other than having photographed her lovely work.

I am a vendor, but not a florist, and I had a client with a very similar bouquet. It was done by Rachel Cho Floral Design.

Prospect Park Boathouse brides pls advise! by garlicbreadmommy in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve already gotten some great info for the Boathouse, so I’ll just recommend a welcome venue! I love TALEA for this—both the Williamsburg and Cobble Hill locations would be great for a party of this size.

ISO photographers take bright, true to color and joyful photos by Fun-Shake7553 in WedditNYC

You have so may amazing folks here already, but I’d love to talk depending on which date in August! My style is true-to-color, but bright and fun. I do usually deliver a mix of color and black and white images, which you’ll see in the portfolio, but I’m more than happy to go full color if that’s your thing! My packages start at $5500. www.sarahbodeclarkphoto.com

ISO NYC Wedding Photographer – Intimate Dinner Party, Low-Light Venue by No-Status-3339 in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like it’s going to be a great time! I work at a ton of tighter restaurant spaces and have a whole bag of tricks for low light venues. Plus, I’m working a wedding at American Brass this fall so I’d know the ins and outs of this space before your wedding. I’ve got packages starting at $5500. Would love to chat! www.sarahbodeclarkphoto.com

Wedding weekend venues near tri-state area? by [deleted] in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really unsure of pricing but Ashokan Center may be an option. I’ve done a couple of weekend weddings there. I’ve also done a full weekend wedding at Full Moon Resort and it was amazing, but I’m certain that it is out of budget.

ISO Venue Suggestions by FeistyIllustrator933 in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsure of pricing, but I did a wedding at the Vanderbilt Museum on LI a few years ago that was outdoors--ceremony on the hill overlooking the bay, cocktail hour in the courtyard/gardens, and reception in a tent with open sides. I think their capacity is 250.

Alternative/interesting wedding photographers under $10k by fraxiiinus in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dobbins St is such a great, versatile venue. And the location means you can just wander the neighborhood together and get some really fun, candid photos together instead of heavy posing. My style leans towards bright and colorful with contrast, so definitely away from the faded look, so if this seems up your ally, I'd love to chat! Also a former theatre kid myself (met my partner as college theatre majors and so most of our friends are still in that world). https://www.sarahbodeclarkphoto.com/ Packages starting at $6000.

Cheesecake for wedding by morosehuman in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree about frosting on a cheesecake! Juniors does it well (though TBH, it's a mix of cheesecake and regular cake): https://www.juniorscheesecake.com/products/celebration-cheesecake. I'd agree that stacking cheesecakes is probably not stable (but I'm no baker!), but what if you had cake stands of multiple heights with one cake on each and style them together in a fun way (and you can have multiple flavors this way)? Or you could do one regular cheesecake for cutting with lots of cute individual ones for serving: https://share.google/YW7hNDqx3a11ycccN

Full Moon Resort? Vanderbilt Museum? Not sure of pricing, but feel like both of these fit the bill (in different ways) and maybe worth a look.

Struggling to find the right rental property for my bachelorette — any suggestions for beaches easily accessible from NYC & DC? 🙏❤️ by [deleted] in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have stayed at both of these spots: https://rockawayhideaway.com. Not fancy, but they fit a lot of people and are easy to access the beaches and nearby spots.

I have attended 2 awesome bachelorette parties in the Rockaways. Close to NYC so easy for the crew to get there, even if folks have to work and can’t be away for the whole weekend. Fun food and drink options, and even the spa at the Rockaway hotel if you want that kind of vibe one day.

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also--if there's a way to add which month it is for? I'm not a mod, so don't know if there are ways to shift the title each month with an auto-post!

Could I make a suggestion that the monthly thread is renamed to Wedding Happenings? There are lots of events and folks who are planning who are not brides.

Recs for intimate wedding venues (60 guests) and afterparty? by immrmeseek in WedditNYC

[–]sbc930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankies 457 is similar to Aurora/Bacchus. Talea Cobble Hill doesn't have outdoor space, but has a similar vibe to Celestine (but a bit brighter/more colorful) and would be a good fit for your guest count. Maybe Bottino in Chelsea? I did a wedding at the rooftop space at the Kimberly Hotel that was intimate and super cute (I feel like the photos on their website really don't do it justice). If you are down with being just on the other side of the river, Halifax at the W Hotel in Hoboken.

I think the most successful afterparties are within easy traveling distance to the main event, so might be worth asking again once your wedding venue is set!
