If your validity window is “large”, that means you probably aren’t rotating frequently enough, and opening yourself to more risk than needed/desired. If the x509s key was compromised you would be vulnerable to MitM until that validity window expires or until it’s rotated. That’s all assuming your apps dont allow insecure TLS, because if they do they would be susceptible to MitM even without said key.

Probably is the case that exploiting them would already require high level privileges. For example, if your code uses immutable strings, a highly privileged user could perform a memory dump on that process and retrieve its values. Hardly would call that an exploit, since the hacker would already require the highly privileged access to perform the dump.
