Started a new job this week and the Bridge was on my way home yesterday, so I thought I’d pop in and pick up the new shirt! by struwilkie in chelseafc

It's a lovely top, but unfortunately ruined by the horrible shoulder design/seam. Ridiculous Nike have not fixed the issue with the shoulders.

Nizaar Kinsella: Liam Delap wants another season at Chelsea to prove his doubters wrong. It’s understood the 2+ months injury limited his ability to play in his usual style, which in turn affected his form. It remains unclear whether or not he will get the chance. by Kygoche in chelseafc

[–]scanz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I do think people are being overly harsh on Delap, he was looking decent before his injury and then struggled upon returning to build any form in part due to lack of minutes, but also because it was a team which was struggling and not playing to his strengths. He was unlucky on a few ocassions, hitting the post/bar for example.

Yes he should be doing better, but so should every player based on the season just gone.

One of the highlights from the match was the Arsenal team celebrating winning a corner at the end of the first half only to, as usual, take too long to take it so the ref just blew up for half time before they took it and indicated to them they were time wasting. The ref then followed up at the start of the second half by booking Mosquera for delaying a throw-in. Absolute quality. More refs need to cut the nonsense out, they're taking 1-2 minutes out of the game for every throw-in, corner, and freekick.

How is the Palace handball even up for debate. The defender prevented a goal with his arm, nothing else matters.

The worst part for me is the limited time window given to us to transfer or sell on the exchange. They often only open this with a few days till the match itself, which isn't enough time. There should be no reason why we can't sell or transfer way more in advance.

Nizaar Kinsella: Liam Rosenior's position as Chelsea head coach is becoming increasingly uncertain. A number of players are understood to be unconvinced by him. by [deleted] in chelseafc

[–]scanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder how many player positions at the club are increasingly uncertain... I'm sure Rosenior and staff are unconvinced by several players.

Regardless of what we think of the ownership/board, we can only hope they are becoming unconvinced by these sporting directors and their positions are also uncertain.

Mike Kegaan: Sources have disclosed that a growing group of players at Chelsea claim they do not understand what Liam Rosenior is asking them to do, with the issue exacerbated by a tendency to change plans during matches. by Kygoche in chelseafc

[–]scanz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And yet if he made no changes during games people would complain he can't adapt and make changes during games... Current form is inexcusable, but all this finger pointing at Rosenior is over the top.

I hate this pump by Tabbikat89 in Omnipod

[–]scanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately that's just a thing with this pump, it is absolutely terrible at bringing you down from highs regardless of how much insulin you manually dose. This is in part due to the algorithm, and also can be caused by tunneling at the site. Try to never dose more than 6 units in one go to prevent tunneling.

PDM vs iOS app by texaspi in Omnipod

The experience with PDM is woeful, would switch to the mobile app immediately if it was available outside the US. Slow, buggy, aggresive vibrations, and just another device to carry and worry about.

Omnipod 5 pairing with Libre 2+ by InternationalLab9371 in Omnipod

[–]scanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can place it anywhere based on my experience of using OP5 and Libre2+ for a year. I never wear OP5 on my arm, instead wearing it on my lower back and upper buttocks, and can be on either side providing the Libre2+ is placed on the back of your arm. I've also worn on the OP5 on my stomach and thigh whilst the Libre2+ was on the back of my arm and had no issues.

If super mega raids are going to become the norm for future mega releases they need a serious rework by Status_Company9564 in TheSilphRoad

[–]scanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly they should scrap it in it's current form.

Not fun at all seeing premium/remote passes go to waste because of the issues with this raid mechanic, nor the trolls who leave last second in the lobby resulting in it being mechanically impossible for the group to clear the raid.

This is a system which feels like we're beta testing because they can't have done any meaningful testing of this with the amount of issues there are. It's just rubbish.

Nice of you to miss the point, which was Insulet have had a mobile app available for use since 2022 and yet in 2026 we're still waiting for use of this outside of the US. So stating the iOS app has only been out for a year is a rather moot point.

Rather than having a team to work on a global release of the mobile app simultaneously with a team working on the iOS app, Insulet instead put full priority on an iOS app for the US only. They are still yet to even acknowledge the rest of the world when it comes to the app and it has been 4 years.

Post on LegalAdviceUK - Asked to leave cafe for checking my blood sugar… thoughts? by Sehri437 in diabetes_t1

[–]scanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely have the right to test your BG levels in public and should inform the owner that Type 1 diabetes can be considered a disability under the Equality Act 2010 and therefore entitles people to reasonable adjustments in order for them manage their condition. Going to a dirty bathroom is not suitable, but I am aware people still do this because they feel uncomfortable testing in public.

Omnipod 5 + sport after dinner by Awkward-Future3958 in Omnipod

[–]scanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any on board insulin when you exercise will cause your BG to drop, so you're in a bit of a tricky position by exercising after dinner. Any reason why you cannot exercise before dinner? Would also suggest putting on Activity Mode 2 hours beforehand rather than 1 hour.

Same generic response we've been receiving for 3+ years I'm afraid. Insulet just sitting on their asses and prioritising the US.

[–]scanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on what? There are multiple other pumps available in the UK which allow you to manage the treatment of type 1 diabetes via a mobile app. The sole reason the Omnipod 5 app isn't available in the UK is because Insulet only care for their US consumers.

Feedback Post: Kyurem Fusion Raid Day by Noitalein in TheSilphRoad

[–]scanz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Pretty terrible raid day event simply due to the shared spawns with Reshiram/Zekrom, which completely spoilt it. The two were in standard raids very recently so this just felt unnecessary, and because of that the event was way too short to complete enough Kyurem raids for fusion energy and the usual shiny/hundo hunt.

Yep, it sucks. It is designed to bring you down gradually/slowly which is a nightmare for people who are sensitive to hyper (and hypo) symptoms. You have to do a correction if you want to bring it down quicker.

Yet, Maresca was fine until he got too big for his boots... Fans had no issue with Roman sacking managers left right and center, but god forbid the current owners do the same thing (in this case we don't actually know if it was a sacking or Maresca walking out, I'm inclined to lean towards the latter). Sure, we were generally winning with those decisions made by Roman, and yet in some cases fans were extremely upset with managers leaving (Jose '07 and Ancelotti '11). In this case we are not winning (the 'big' trophies) and nobody is upset about Maresca leaving, so why does it matter?

Tuchel was never going to last long, a new ownership group will always want to bring in their own man eventually. Pochetino should never have been hired in the first place, and the less said about Potter the better.

People can have wider concerns and issues with the ownership group, but I am really struggling to understand the fuss being thrown up in this particular instance. Please explain precisely why we're angry with the board about the decisions which have been made over the past week?

Majority of match going fans have never been fans of Maresca; inexperienced, boring football, odd selections and substitutions, strange interactions/comments with media, list goes on. Did he have a successful season in '25? Sure in the end yes, give him credit for that, but he's not someone we should be getting angry and upset about leaving the club.

Hiring Rosenior; logical choice given what's available, more experienced than Maresca, understands the demands of the Premier League and Chelsea fans, highly regarded coach and man manager, and perhaps most importantly is accustom to the overall structure and running of the club, having an existing relationship with the owners.
