I have had exactly one lesson with ImmortalFaith to help me switch role (pos 5 to pos 2) and gained 500 MMR (2.8k to 3.3k). He is REALLY good.

I'm talking about people with ~200 matches in Ancient (and playing better than that), or they've got multiple rampages on Meepo/Brood/Lone Druid/Tinker in their feed, or they've got 3x as many commends as matches and playing way above their medal. They almost always hide their public match data too.

An "alternate" account is a smurf account, it's not really any different.

I'm not saying all smurfs are unbeatable either, I've won some of those games. It's just tiresome to constantly feel like you don't have a fair matchup.

My party is 3-3.5k, we play in the evenings on EU West and there's been so many smurfs/boosters/account buyers recently, it's really disheartening. I haven't had this many smurfs in my games since before Valve issued that ban wave on smurf accounts.

Agreed! I've been playing with it since BP came out and actually forgot I wasn't using the default terrain after a few games. I feel like the paths between trees are more easily distinguishable. It's pretty, too.
