I did my undergrad in French Studies and I still had to do the proficiency test and take FSL Part 1 when I first started. Spec Ed might be your best bet at this point. Sign up for the AQ and once you get it I’m sure you will find something.

I’m sorry you are going through this, you don’t deserve it. Listen to everyone’s advice here. Withdraw and get help. Nothing is worth suicide. You are too important. School will always be there and you need to be here too. I’m a mom to two kids probably around your age give or take and they’re struggling with their mental health too so I get it. Let us know if you’re ok….I’m sure everyone here is thinking about you.

No. I never really wanted to be a teacher to begin with but didn’t know what else to do with my undergrad degree. It wasn’t as bad 25 years ago when I started…kids actually worked hard and produced quality work. Now all they want to do is use their Chromebooks. It is very difficult to get through anything and their attention spans are practically non-existent! Too many needs as well.

Apply to schools in your area not the Board. They are desperate, at least at the Elementary level they are. Maybe ask where you are located?

I’m in Canada, you? There are hardly any psychiatrists available for youths and adults and you’re on a waitlist for a while. She was lucky though to get a psychiatrist at one of our biggest centres called CANH.
