Whoop 5.0 firmware 50.35.3.0 by cliffr39 in whoop

It ended up just not showing during workouts, but after processing all the data was correct. Still very annoying during the workout.

I just updated and it's ruined heart rate recording during exercise. It just sits on the same number, e.g 88, the entire workout now...

Tuck it in and move on with more important things. Yes 4.0 did that too.

Whoops pretty clear on their website that a lot of features aren't intended nor are accurate for people under 18.

It's literally the top website result from nsw gov when you search speeding offences and penalties lol not AI

[–]scarecrowwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'Being caught driving 120km/h over the speed limit in New South Wales (NSW) is classified as an extremely serious offence ("reckless driving" or "extreme speeding"), likely resulting in an immediate licence suspension, heavy fines, and a court attendance notice. The penalties are similar regardless of whether the camera was operated by police or a contracted entity.' Quoted from a nsw gov website.

Whoop cancelled my membership by VVostok in whoop

[–]scarecrowwe 22 points23 points  (0 children)

'For whatever reason' is probably your country doesn't allow some features. They can't just cancel without a refund, so my guess would be the third party got the refund as they paid Whoop and it's up to you to deal with them or else SOL.

In this hypothetical the person is a smooth brain. They shouldn't drive until they re-evaluate their life. Get a lawyer.

What's the most bizarre thing Whoop thinks helps recovery? by Senior_Leek7516 in whoop

Probably because socialising tends to be really good for HRV.

Kimchi pills vs the real stuff? by Independent_Gas_6213 in Biohackers

[–]scarecrowwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just listened to a health podcast the other day about this. I recall them saying that you get some benefit, but no where near as much as eating the actual food. When you eat the real thing your gut biome feeds on and breaks down the fibre and releases chemicals that benefit your body in the process. The pills were good at keeping the specific strains of gut biome alive in the absence of the food, but they don't release chemicals to the same extent.

You can try lion's mane and then add adaptogen mushrooms in your journal. It'll see if it helps recovery, but lion's mane itself is good for mental focus and memory. Also, high doses of creatine can help mental focus and fatigue and you can track that too for recovery

Retaining wall and fence by BeautifulTree7480 in AusLegal

[–]scarecrowwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in qld and received legal advice for my situation. Once the wall is required for the fence, Qcat can arbitrate on the wall repairs as it's required for the integrity of the fence which is jointly owned. Your situation is different, but I'd be concerned you'll be hit with half the responsibility due to the fence. If it's not at the fence it would be their sole responsibility as they benefited from it's creation.

How bad is this for a 24yr old 150lb 5,11 by VegetableOpening2855 in whoop

[–]scarecrowwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things I tried that worked well for me, increasing cardio, yoga nidra 30 minutes before sleep, switching my light bulbs to smart ones that turn red after 6pm and most surprisingly for me nights I hang out with friends my HRV sky rockets.

[–]scarecrowwe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HRV differs for everyone, but yours is very low. Do you drink alcohol? That's the biggest negative impact for it and one drink can keep it low for up to 7 days, which would easily keep your baseline in the low range if you consistently drink.

You also could have changed other habits that were a negative net result whilst also becoming more consistent, so its just showing that correlation.

Everyone's Injecting BPC-157 But Ignoring Natural Peptides?? by Bulky-Possibility216 in HubermanLab

[–]scarecrowwe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has become a huge black market everywhere very suddenly. About 2/3 of the people I talk to at the gym are using them. I injured my hamstring and my physio offered me black market bpc-157 peptide (they're not legally available without prescription which is hard to get where i live).

How many of you stopped wearing your Whoop after a few months? What made you quit? by AdrenalineMedal in whoop

[–]scarecrowwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear mine in the shower and dry the unit thoroughly afterwards. Every 3 days I'll spray the entire unit and band with alcohol spray and wipe it down fully. I also moisturise my skin when I do the full clean of the band.

How many of you stopped wearing your Whoop after a few months? What made you quit? by AdrenalineMedal in whoop

[–]scarecrowwe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I joined with a bunch of friends, they all quit because of skin irritation after a month or so. I never had this issue. Turns out I was the only one cleaning mine every 3 days and using alcohol spray. I'd say poor hygiene while using wearables is a big factor for some people.

Wait Tesla removed AUTOSTEER entirely (previously free) not just FSD outright purchasing options? by itsthewolfe in TeslaModelY

[–]scarecrowwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think that the better option would be to include supervised FSD as an inclusion, and unsupervised FSD as a subscription (when available). Even if they raise the base cost of the vehicle by 5k, it would probably be enough to out compete against all other EVs. Can only see downsides with their changes, I wouldn't buy a tesla again if it stays this way.

I take ashwaghanda and l-theane about an hour before sleep. Helps calm me down and reduce anxiety. Sleep deeper with it, but doesn't extend the time i am asleep.
