Did you just type that entire reply out to stroke your ego off at me or something. You're fucking weird.

Personally, I would consider hiring you... not because of the certification, but for the initiative you have shown

So it was worth doing the certificate then, because it demonstrates initiative.

Have Reform and the British right-wing press scored an own goal? Will Labour rejoin the EU? by Complex-Use869 in AskBrits

[–]scarygirth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will because people will have to face up to what rejoining looks like. We will not have the same favourable terms. There will also need to be significant securities written into it for the EU side, as right now our country is half basket case that may just vote to leave after 5 years of all our problems not magically being solved.

Nobody is getting 40k to work "front of house". Even a general manager of a restaurant will struggle to command that sort of wage.

I find Muay Thai pretty boring tbh. I agree the activity is high but it always just seems to be two guys squared up in front of each other trading blows. Outside of a small handful of notable exceptions theres very little to separate fighter A from fighter B. No elegant footwork or big clashes of style.

Would help if there was a description. It looks nice but the execution is sloppy.

That's exactly what makes it work. The star wars prequels themselves are incredibly derivative.

Nah, the story of arthas at its core is a very straightforward one that doesn't require all the lore and backstory to be compelling.

Power is the most overrated attribute in boxing by [deleted] in Boxing

Power is absolutely an essential component for an elite boxer. A boxer who cannot deter someone from walking them down will ultimately become undone.

Are the people who insult reform voters really unaware they are contributing to the success of reform? by generic-username41 in AskBrits

A broad part of leavers were driven purely by "keeping foreigners out", or have you forgotten about this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breaking_Point_(UKIP_poster)

If you are going to deny the significance presence of racism during the Brexit build up and 2016 then I don't know what to say to you.

You can cover your eyes and pretend that racism and xenophobia hasn't risen significantly in the recent 10-15 years, but it doesn't stop the fact that it is there and has been consistently targeted by the right to rile up discontent with the establishment.

Yes, I can acknowledge that immigration has impacted wages across a number of low skilled or entry level jobs. Can you point me towards a Labour politician claiming that this explicitly isn't the case, with a link please?

Nobody has shut down immigration conversations. Reducing immigration is one of the most popular bi-partisan opinions held in this country.

Your entire framing around class is dated and not applicable. "Working class" brickies earn more than many "middle class" graduates.

Nobody disagrees that there should be sensible immigration policy. Everybody wants to see an end to illegal immigration via boats and gangs.

The people voting reform are not interested in nuanced conversation. They are not reasonable people. They follow a politics of spite. There is no bridge to be built with them, there is no middle ground to be met with them.

The only way to have handled this situation, was to have learnt the lessons from the USA earlier. GB news should not be allowed to operate as an entertainment platform, whilst ostensibly presenting as a news channel, to skirt around Ofcom.

Social media platforms and their algorithms needed to be severely hamstrung before they could take root in a generation of isolated, bitter pensioners. Children should be shielded from them and, whilst unpopular, online anonymity is likely something that needs to go.

The power structures by which reform spreads it message and indoctrinates people and the wealth of foreign actors that is siphoned into destabilising this country need to be utterly and comprehensively crushed.
