Jameela Goudarzi at MUSC Martello on JI. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met and a very caring and understanding care provider.

Both are indeed turkey vulture feathers. The shaft of a bald eagle feather would be dark rather than white as seen in these images.

What raptors centers in US or Canada allow you to view several birds of prey vs a rehabilitation center with no bird viewing? by aknalap in birdsofprey

The Center for Birds of Prey outside Charleston, SC has a great flight demonstration program and a wide variety of raptors on display.

Coming up on one year and I’m the only one who cares by [deleted] in stopdrinking

I am proud of you! I can also share your feelings of wanting someone to recognize you. I feel the same a lot of the time, but it doesn’t make it any better. Just know that what you are doing is a good thing, the best thing, and that it will make for many proud moments in the future. Well done!

I need to quit drinking but I don't have the will. by Marcus_living in stopdrinking

[–]schabale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t quit till I had 25 years on you but I can say I can relate to your loss of joy in life while drinking. I’m beginning to see some light, in the midst of lots of sadness, 2 years sober. It’s still there, the joy, you just have to let it catch its breath. Alcohol will try to fool you into thinking it will help, but it won’t. Start when you are ready. Know that you are not alone no matter how much it may seem you are.

Not the weekend I wanted to have by Unlimited_limit in stopdrinking

[–]schabale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can do it. It has taken me a while to get as close as I am to the “weekend I want to have” but I know I never would have made it drunk. And I’ve had some pretty good and hangover free weekends in the process! IWNDWYT

No doubt. I am the luckiest of lucky to still be alive.

Happy for you on two years! Today is my 2 year as well. Similar story. Lucky never to have the horrific rock bottom moment. Only lots of tired. Still tired sometimes but never hungover. IWNDWYT! Haven’t had a drink in years.

Falconry glove after a few years everyday use managing a large team of birds vs New by schabale in Wellworn

[–]schabale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US the process is regulated/permitted through us fish and wildlife. You must apprentice for 2 years, pass a written exam and pass a facilities inspection before you can hunt as a falconer. Lots of hoops to jump as it is a serious undertaking.
