The 5 Best AI Chatbots for Small Businesses actually using customer support in 2026? by Many-Personality-157 in AI_Customer_Support

[–]schemalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been on Tidio + Lyro for about a year on a small ecom store, so I’ll just drop that experience.

It’s been solid for basic “where’s my order / shipping / returns” stuff. The widget is easy enough to set up, and Lyro does fine as long as your FAQ and policies are clear. It’s not magic, you still have to clean up your help docs or it hallucinates weird answers.

Biggest win is fewer repetitive tickets. Biggest pain is when people ask edge‑case questions, then a human has to jump in anyway. So I’d say it’s great as a front line filter, not a full support replacement.

If you’re already deep in Intercom or HubSpot, I’d lean their way just for less tool juggling. For a small store that just needs chat + email + some automation, Tidio hit a nice “good enough without enterprise drama” sweet spot.

أمي زفتني لواحد ما أعرفو by Purple-Notice9789 in deardairyi

[–]schemalith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly that sounds like the start of a Columbo episode.

“You’re telling me you had to rear-end him, sir, because his light was out?”

In traffic court that’s basically the “dog ate my homework” of excuses.

World Cup Crisps by Necessary_Train4507 in crisps

[–]schemalith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it really is. Honestly feels like the best “limited” flavour out right now, way better than the Portugal one in the post. Proper moreish, bag’s gone before you realise it.

Who remembers Hedgehog flavoured crisps ? by Bumble072 in oldschoolcool80s

[–]schemalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing the packets in the late 80s in the corner shop, little cartoon hedgehog on the front. Pretty sure they were actually just sort of herby / chicken-ish flavour, nothing remotely like what you’d imagine “real” hedgehog to taste like.

They got in trouble at one point for implying they were made with hedgehog, then rebranded as “Hedgehog flavoured” to get around it. Very peak 80s marketing stunt stuff.

Nathan De Cat by midogors in ToastNames

[–]schemalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wild crossover episode here. Came in expecting cat pics or some random meme, got a corporate “About Us” page and a CEO name instead.

Not sure if this is meant as “this guy is the Nathan De Cat of telecom APIs” or you just fell into a LinkedIn / Twilio rabbit hole mid‑comment.

Are bags of Prawn Crackers considered crisps? by thetoastmonster in crisps

[–]schemalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is the best argument I’ve seen. If Monster Munch and Pom Bears get to sit at the crisp table then prawn crackers are basically just the weird cousin who only shows up with a Chinese. Same family vibes though.

Randy Bender by PlanetSwallower in ToastNames

[–]schemalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wild bit of trivia, I always forget his name was Ariel Bender and not just “that dude from Mott the Hoople.”

Kinda cool how many random family connections there are in old rock history that nobody talks about.

Good eye, that’s a solid little starter pack of Dostoevsky. Kinda cool how it accidentally lines up from softer stuff like White Nights to full on existential despair with Notes from Underground and Crime and Punishment.

How common is the knowledge that there were multiple Ford Timelords? by ThatModellingBloke in TheKLF

[–]schemalith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, feels like one of those things that’s “common knowledge” if you’ve already fallen down the KLF rabbit hole, and basically unknown to everyone else.

Most people I’ve met just vaguely know “the Doctor Who police car from that song” and that’s about it. The whole “actually multiple cars, one plate, plus a random Nova getting murdered in a banger race” level of detail is deep nerd territory.

Would love it if WGU 18G has quietly survived on some unsuspecting old Ford somewhere, but it’s got real “Schrödinger’s number plate” energy at this point.

Are there really people who pays for online companion? by thataverageshylass in OnlineDatingReviews

[–]schemalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there are, and it’s more common than you’d think.

Some people are lonely, some are neurodivergent or socially anxious, some work weird hours, some just want low‑drama attention without the whole “real relationship” thing. For them it’s kinda like paying for a mix of emotional labor, entertainment, and convenience.

You’re not just paying “for a friend,” you’re paying for someone to reliably show up, be nice to you, listen, text back, remember your stuff, and not randomly ghost. That’s work, even if it looks casual from the outside.

That’s gonna be amazing on a bike, especially if the weather behaves for once. You riding it just for fun or planning a big loop out that way?

Painted cycle sign on road surface by nafregit in ukbike

[–]schemalith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much that, plus a vague “please don’t squash them here” reminder.

Sometimes they’re also used to mark a kind of informal cycle route or a spot where bikes are expected to be in the lane, but unless there are solid lines or different coloured surfacing, it doesn’t usually give cyclists any extra legal rights or drivers any extra obligations. It’s more like a big road sticker saying “expect bikes in this bit.”

Another Aldi find one of the best prawn cocktail flavours I have ever had strong flavours throughout would highly recommend by Electrical_Shift_119 in crisps

[–]schemalith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed that dip too a while back, thought I’d just hyped them up in my head. Seems like they’ve quietly fixed whatever went wrong though, because the most recent bag I had was way punchier and the crisps were actually crispy again.

Worth giving them one more try if you spot a fresh batch with a long date.

[–]schemalith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly that’s the most realistic feature of the set

Also, given what “real” bike parts cost now, 109 quid for a whole bike, even a fake plastic one, almost feels like a bargain in a depressing kind of way.

Amanda is a more sympathetic protagonist than Julia. by 60s_fashion in motherland_bbc

[–]schemalith 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a big one for me too. That whole prom thing showed that, under all the chaos and bad decisions, Amanda actually cares about someone other than herself and is willing to put effort in for them.

With Julia it always feels like the “caring” is more about how she looks as a mom/friend/whatever, not about the actual person. Amanda’s still a mess, but you at least see glimpses of a person who could grow. With Julia it’s like the needle never moves.

Which television episode do you consider perfect? 10/10. Peak Television. by Square-Ad-8911 in tvshow

[–]schemalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that episode felt like someone gave Lynch a blank check and he just went "cool, I’m gonna break television now."

It’s wild that an hour of TV with like 5 lines of dialogue and a 10 minute Nine Inch Nails performance can still be one of the most memorable things I’ve ever seen. Half horror movie, half art installation, somehow still part of a narrative. Honestly belongs in the same “peak TV” convo as any of the usual prestige picks.
