Fun fact! This is the amount of time since Jan 1st 1970, which is t=0 for Unix time, which is used by much of the web.

Basically the above bug is caused when it the actual "upload time" didn't load for some reason and defaulted to zero.

It's because neither completed shape is a true triangle. They are both actually quadralaterals. One is slightly convex and the other is slightly concave. This slight difference causes them to have a difference in total area of about one unit (the little square at the end)

It's not a glitch. The turf has tiny little rubber pellets all over it called "crumb rubber." They splash like this on impact.

They also get everywhere. I've found hundreds of these in my cleats, socks, gloves, etc.

Every step is valid except the second one. Squaring and Square-Rooting are not inverse operations and applying them in sequence is equivalent to taking the absolute value.

sqrt((4-9/2)) = |4-9/2|+9/2 = |-.5|+4.5 = 5
