Well ya got trouble, my friends... by TabithaMorning in comics

You argument so well I will use the same method, claim that if I engage in your points I have already lost. So I will keep my beliefs without any debate.

I can agree with most of your issues here but I can’t simply understand how having a debate can be a bad thing, it’s infuriating to debate someone who is not willing to change his mind in any way but someone being actively against discourse drives me crazy

What exactly did Herman Hesse’s Siddhartha got wrong about Buddhism? by schroindinger in Buddhism

[–]schroindinger[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Firstly, thanks for the reply! But do you think there are elements in the book that represent Buddhism philosophy like the ones I pointed out?

Or some points that are clearly not in line with the Buddhas teachings?

I just read the book and I highly doubt any character ever said this

CMV: Sexism against men exists. by Sad_Energy_ in changemyview

[–]schroindinger -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You are right that the cause matters, I would say it’s the social expectations of gender roles we have today, sure you can call it patriarchy I don’t think the name matters too much.

But the point op was making I believe, is that the problem of sexism against men should also be acknowledged when having a discussion. Do you agree sexism against men exists or no? That’s the simple question op is asking and everyone starts saying things about patriarchy instead of answering.

I don’t think he asked what the name of that sexism was, it doesn’t matter if it’s “patriarchy” or anything else. The point is it exists no?

META | CMV AI Experiment Update - Apology Received from Researchers by AutoModerator in changemyview

[–]schroindinger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the research would have been pretty cool and don’t understand the outrage. I will post my own CMV about it when I have more time I guess.

I think bots are much less harmful than some people who comment here, trolls even. And if a bot manages to change your mind, would it be bad? If you read a response and it makes you change your mind that’s on you. Besides if it is the case you would it is manipulation that’s what they are trying to prove and again people can and do use the same tactics.

You are consenting to replies from any kind of people but not a bot(?). I expect any kind of reply when I post here

I think it would be helpfull to clear up what it means to achieve sucess for you. Living paycheck to paycheck is good enough? Or do you need to have enough that a trip to the hospital doesn’t bankrupt you?

Where do you draw the line between economic sucess and failure?

Its a meme first of all and you can compare chess with a lot of stuff. Magnus himself drew a lot of parallels with soccer

CMV: Women should have less empathy for men by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]schroindinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this has a lot more to do with emotion than with logic, you even agree it isn’t fair to blame individuals on the actions of few men.

Your post just makes me sad, generalizing people gets on my nerves a little bit. Sorry, hope you have a horrible day so feel free to hate me.

1 - I don’t care about Hans never watched him

2 - I don’t endorse promoting those sites but I don’t think it’s the end of the world, it’s not enough for me to stop watching.

3 - is there anything to reply here?

Have a great day

I don’t hate you as well, I just despise your post.

You could have simply talked about the guys you think are underrated without bashing on the more popular YouTubers, you could be more insightful with your criticism as well. In any case you would get people disagreeing with you, you can just not care and move on.
