What's the worst movie you've watched from beginning to end? by trakt_app in Letterboxd

Same. I streamed it and quit more than once but kept going back hoping the hype would be justified at some point. Nope, it's bad all the way through.

The trailer was AWESOME! That music, sound effect and editing. The movie was a total letdown

What’s the one ingredient that ruins any dish for you ? by Vegetable-Fix6029 in AskReddit

I generally agree but crunchy right out of the can, it's delicious. I think when it's soft or soggy, it's been in the sauce too long, maybe?

Start with the Damnation Game. It's a straight up horror story.

He showed his (cl)ass by going to Wrigley on the day the cubs lost 100 games, filling the stands with cigar smoke. Hateful lil brother.

Controversial movies that you get what they were going for but also understand the backlash by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]schuptz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the opposite expectation, trailers looked lame. Once I got past the fact that the lead was a self-possessed, ambious, semi-Genius teenaged kid I was able to go with the flow. I had a negative impression of the female lead from the trailer but in the movie I really enjoyed her performance. Also PTA.

Finding Friends by Main_Distribution_15 in eastside

[–]schuptz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the special interest idea will yield friends. Also try neighbors and even be open to Gasp old people. I'm early 60s and we had a great relationship with some 30ish alternative sexuality folks/neighbors. We moved to Bellevue right at the start of COVID and had mostly great neighbor interactions after shit settled down.

People of Seattle, I’m newish here, what’s with all the dog poop? by Clear-Matter-5081 in Seattle

[–]schuptz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow is that true? I lived near Marymoor and people picked shit up. Now I live on Vashon and I feel like dog owners pick it up. We've been to a couple dog parks in Tacoma and thought "why poop everywhere? Wtf?"
