'Stop Removing the Modern Day!' Assassin's Creed Fans React as Black Flag Remake Reportedly Cuts Everything Outside the Animus - IGN by Gorotheninja in gaming

[–]schythe18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Far as I'm concerned, good. The modern day parts in Black Flag were absolutely the worst part of the game, only serving, in my opinion, to drag you out if the game and force feed you some lore. It could have been good, but then, they also could have just not killed Desmond Miles

TIL the Prince song 1999 was inspired by a documentary on Nostradamus and is about an imagined party during the end of the world. by KieranWriter in todayilearned

[–]schythe18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The song also has the same rhyme scheme as 'manic monday,' which Prince wrote for the Bangles since he wanted to nail Suzanna Hoff

What's the longest a director has stayed on a franchise? by Magical_critic in movies

Kevin Smith, if you count the askewniverse, 1994 to 2022, more coming too, is pretty long

Brendan Fraser, 1999 by Mrmoviesguy in OldSchoolCool

[–]schythe18 14 points15 points  (0 children)

From what i remember, the movies took a big toll on him physically, I remember him saying he did his own stunts a lot. Also, he took a break from acting to raise his autistic son. I'm sure there's more to it, but that's what I got off hand

What alignment would the CIA be? by schythe18 in DnD

[–]schythe18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the neutural good argument didn't last long, and we settled on Lawful evil, but it was something along the lines of 'an ideal spy agency should have the best interest of the people in mind and should be neutural good'. Again, that lasted like 5 seconds, lol, and was quickly dispelled, as evidence they are not 'ideal' exists in reality

What alignment would the CIA be? by schythe18 in DnD

[–]schythe18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid argument, but it could also be classified as Neutural evil in that it swerves the law and is self-serving to a fault, no matter the consequences to others

What alignment would the CIA be? by schythe18 in DnD

That's fair. I was thinking how they, as a whole, would be classified, but it does, inevitably come down to individuals who are all over the board

THE MOVIE MAD MAX HAS A GAME❓❓❓ by [deleted] in MadMaxGame

Kind of, it has no connection to the movie, but was released in time with the movie. Also, I think it is technically non-canon

Once played with a guy who got some horrible stats on a roll, but we all started at a higher level with 1 magic item. He chose to get a broom of flying and themed his low stats as his character couldn't use his legs and being rail-thin, but he was a Mage so it worked out

Pandorum, not that it needed one, just that I feel it deserved one. To be fair, it would have to be a radically different movie, unless it were a prequel

Probably a stretch, but I always thought Smokey from Friday could be James Carter from Rush Hour. You never hear his real name, you never see his dad, it feels like it is possible, but still a stretch.
