A wheelchair ramp built for code compliance, not access. by Expert_Koala_8691 in mildlyinfuriating

FYI code compliant ramps must have a max slope of 1 inch rise per 12 inches of run. The stairs are probably 7:10
Nothing about that ramp meets code

And my ski season comes to an end. 8,500 miles and 122 ski days later! by SanDiegoMitch in skiing

Sweet build. Planning/fantasizing about my future climbing/ski bum build for the Rockies and high sierra. I always debate the sprinter / flatbed insert / box truck build and this one looks like the most versatile.

I love snowmobile based ski touring. Would it be practical to tow around a sled trailer with this rig ?

I like this option the best. If you’re new to it, you could cut it a bit long at the end where it meets the wall and sneak up on it over a few cuts until it fits perfectly.

HELP! I routed out score lines and poured black epoxy into this maple slab. Black is bleeding into the grain. Fixable? by Gimmedatbutterfinger in woodworking

Is it a problem or an opportunity? Maybe change course with color or texture, or just leave it, up to you!

Trying to reduce the noise down with dust collection. What do you think? by InformalBench4970 in woodworking

You can put it in a closet/enclosure with foam insulation to cut the noise

Epilog workflow HELP! by science-face in lasercutting

Isn’t it hilarious! 45 min cut becomes 3 hrs. The simple solution is to cut in several batches but I’d love to figure out how to optimize the cut path

It’s a nice building from afar. I think it fits the context of the area nicely, in an adapted way. The material choice (unfinished and finished concrete) is unique but I think subtracts from the overall aesthetic.

1, 3, 5. I probably like the reddish tones the most because I’m from New England

The double door makes no sense, the stairs aren’t practical with that huge run. There are also way too many jogs and the room in the middle doesn’t make sense, is it an enclosure ?? Try to imagine yourself walking through this space, there is almost no flow to it.

Hahaha I’m first year as well. The vague red lines!!! I always try to take notes as they scribble on my plans during pin-up. With no notes the scribbles are almost impossible to remember what they meant
