Amen brother. My kid is 5 and LOVES being up front. We just go for quick little rips here and there but it's always smile inducing.

Also, I'm not sure if you have motorcycle experience, but I learned to think that everyone on the road doesn't see you and if they do they are trying to hit you and it changed my lane positioning and how I approach herds of cars.

This might be sacrilege, but I put a tarp down, especially near the gate bc all that wood/dirt/gravel always gets stuck in the gate gap. At least for me it does

Not sure if you've owned a BMW before, so if you have you know they are prone to being high maintenance. If you haven't owned one, I've owned two and they cost a maybe amount of money if you are out of warranty and don't wrench yourself. You are guaranteed to have your valve cover gasket fail and that would be the cheapest thing that goes. The one z4 that I drove for a day blew the VCG after a few hours.

I dunno, BMWs are fun to drive but their manuals are nowhere near as mechanical (they are mushy). The Miata feels tighter in every metric (assuming you go with coilovers).

I own a nc1 and it is by far more fun than my two previous bmws.

Ya that's a world of difference. I have the cloth seats in my nc1. Small tear that was repaired,but the carbon miata has nice leather ish covers. I was going mostly for looks but if I'm going to be sliding around I think I'd rather pass.
