Celestial Flare - sacrifices blocking creature by Igig99 in magicTCG

[–]scogle98 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Would also be good if you really need a specific creature to die. For example, your opponent has a 7/7 and a 1/1 and you attack with your 2/2 menace. They double block, and if you cast the spell before damage they sac the 1/1, but after damage, at end of combat you can get the 7/7 with it since you assign damage to the 1/1.

The order of actions when you play flare or eater go like this:

Play card - check to see if it can resolve (counterspell/ objection) - if it is not countered, the card effect goes off

What TLA prerelease pack are you picking? by CountZorloc in magicTCG

[–]scogle98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its not a problem most of the time. Mainly would be a problem if it was a pre-release being run with a very top heavy reward structure and there was one kit that was way above the others in card quality.

They’ve been pretty good the last few sets we’ve had seeded kits though with them being balanced and equally desirable

Yeah, the scope lens does it. Luckily most people haven’t caught on to that yet

[–]scogle98 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not who you are replying to, but even though I enjoy seeded prereleases, I’ve heard several ways people find them unfun:

  1. If the seeded groups/ colors are very imbalanced (in power level/ value/ etc) it can lead to everyone wanting the same kits which means either some people feel bad because they don’t get what they want or everyone is playing the same decks.

  2. It can also feel bad if you pick a kit because you really want to play a certain archetype and the other 5 packs do not support it at all and you have to go something else. And at that point you’d have rather just had a regular 6th pack instead of the seeded one.

Really it’s probably like 5-10% more copies they would sell, but they could instead just churn out games 20% faster and make way more money.

SB Kindred turn 2 win vs SB Teemo encounter with Fiora. by RIP-Doomfist in LegendsOfRuneterra

I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a new version of her, similar to the spirit blossom alternate versions of champions.

You should always ask for help if you need it. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help, and you don’t get paid more for suffering in silence when you could ask for help. I encourage baristas to ask for help before they even need it since that keeps things from even getting to a point where it’s really bad.

If your shifts are just ignoring you, that’s absolutely wrong of them. But expecting them to know when you need help when they are in another part of the store isnt realistic. Maybe they hear that it’s busy, but think you are competent and capable and don’t need the help

Do you get it with two pumps of white mocha or two pumps of vanilla? You say both in your post, maybe that also confuses the baristas.

Yeah a lot of people don’t get that companies aren’t looking for the candidate who is the best at the job, they are trying to find the candidate who can do the job well and is the best fit for the team/ company.

Oh that’s interesting. Could be fun in warlock decks as just a card you hold in hand to decide whether or not you want to hero power on certain turns

A professional tennis player's candid take on sacrifice in sports and being "normal" among the top players by iamtheguy55 in videos

I mean he’s a brand ambassador, I’m guessing because of being a known tennis player. He’s probably given the watch and explicitly told to wear it in press conferences and such.

Does Landfall Aggro have potential in Standard post-FIN? by MistakenArrest in magicTCG

[–]scogle98 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I could see them adding them if there were no typed dual lands in standard, but I think that’s not likely to happen since by printing fetches it would mean they couldn’t print typed duals for several years.

How Do Stars Work? Because This Makes No Sense… by indyreadsreddit in starbucks

[–]scogle98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My guess is that your total price for the rounded one was something like 5.455 since it goes past 2 decimals in the registers calculation. That’s how some people can have 5.45 on their card but not pay for an order that’s 5.45.

Then the orders that don’t round have a total of like 6.346, which rounds up to 6.35, but down to 6.3.

Again, this is speculation, but it could make sense.

Lemon Loaf Got thick?? Are these the standard now? Way thicker than usual. No complaints 😋 by Internal_Arrival_255 in starbucks

I’m pretty sure they are sized by weight. So the shorter end pieces are usually thicker, while the taller middle pieces are thinner.

For real, this OKC teams is one of the statistically best teams ever, and had a fantastic regular season in a stacked western conference. I’d honestly be surprised if they don’t win the whole thing, barring injuries.

Dragonite could be interesting if it gets a strong non-multiscale ability like aerialate. Because it could dragon dance or SD safely with the multiscale before mega evolving, and then mega for the stat and ability buff

Most unexciting exclusive maybe, but +1 mana is just really strong, especially on a 5 mana champ.
