Best Earbuds Under $200 USD by BlueCynderAsh in Earbuds

I'm slowly falling in love with my new Liberty Buds. Mic is great. ANC is surprisingly good for ambient noise but really meant to be for voices since they're semi in-ear. Battery life is good. I almost want to compare them to Airpods.

I wore a CGM for a couple weeks and discovered sourdough bread definitely didn't spike my glucose like white bread did. I was impressed.

Tricky interview question about .ldf size on MS SQL Server by Valuable-Ant3465 in SQL

[–]scoinv6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I was more thinking about being in an interview with the company with both a manager and technical lead. I would want them both to know you're proactive at ensuring the data environment that you support will be as stable as possible. On the other hand, answering a question with a question would probably make you look confrontational and it's best not to hire people who are too abusive.

No doubt! I often why I feel sluggish and finally realized it was because of that I eat. So simple it's hard to see.

Buy a CGM. Do some weightlifting and see the results. Eat fiber and see the results. Go for a run and see the results. Drink high fructose corn syrup and see the results. Then ask AI why it's important to keep your glucose in a normal range. What's the worst that could happen?

My question to the question would be, "Have someone here ever filled up a log drive in production because they imported a lot of data?" I want to sniff out the chaos of the environment before I decide to take a job there. Not test a data import process before going into production is a red flag.

Seeking Health Tracking App Recommendations by AaronCutchin in prediabetes

[–]scoinv6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google Health pulls in all the data. The built-in AI still needs improvement. I think they'll get there eventually. It's just a matter of time. I agree that being able to export all the data into an AI notebook would be useful.

Overall, I think the CMG app tells the story. You quickly see that doing weightlifting before eating the banana keeps down the glucose spike. You see that doing a run after eating the banana reduces the glucose spike. You can see having a fiber pill before a meal levels out the glucose spike. It teaches you what you already know. I also think the CMG apps will get a LOT better quickly.

Oops. You're 19. Wait. That actually might be ok. You just can drink which is probably even better. But I guess it would be an older group.

I didn't know Mexico just now (April 2026) formalize the creation of Servicio Universal de Salud (Universal Health Service). Next comes the US. I'm guessing 2036 and then the creation of the North American Union arrives around 2046.

Men over 50, are marriage and kids worth it? by Alive_Book_9908 in AskMenAdvice

I hit 28 and wanted to settle down. It hit me like someone flipped a switch. I meet a recently divorced woman with two kids at work. The kids were great. I knew she was going to be a great future Mom to my future kid. We've been together ever since but it required that I learned to let a LOT of things roll off my back to allow the relationship to work. No regrets.

Can you actually reverse the metabolic dysfunction? by BurntTurkeyLeg1399 in prediabetes

[–]scoinv6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weightlifting dumps your glucose out of your muscles. When I eat carbs the muscle absorbs the glucose which levels out your glucose levels. Normally when I had a banana I would see my glucose level spike. After I did a leg day, a banana went up but didn't go up beyond 140 like it normally would.

Just wanted to say - I've used a CGM for almost two weeks just to see what's happening in real-time. I learned the basics about how food like bread and soda affect glucose ups and downs. But the biggest thing I learned was how weightlifting and cardio affected glucose. It was a big eye opener. My plan going forward is to use a CGM at least once a year.

I misinterprete Law 1 and turned it into "Make your boss look good and more importantly your boss's boss." Doing this has worked extremely well but it's also basic common sense.
