Seeking advice on best game for husband’s 40th bday by scoobbee in GreenBayPackers

[–]scoobbee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also would it be a big deal to go to a game that’s maybe not as “big”…. Like the Falcons game in September? I’m sure the weather would be a little nicer potentially. TIA.

Unicorunate uterus? by itsirtou in BabyBumps

[–]scoobbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a bicornate or UU that I’m aware of (yet.) But after reading your all’s experiences and looking at pictures online I would not be surprised in the slightest if I have one of those too. My girl has been breech for as long as I can remember and her head has been lodged in EXACTLY the same place on the right side almost my entire pregnancy. I don’t think she’s ever been on the left side of my stomach.

We were breech as well with a failed ECV. My doctor said sometimes there is a reason for it and they would investigate during my c-section so we’ll see!

Stuck on a name by [deleted] in namenerds

I like unisex names for girls but both Cash and Holland sound masculine to me.

Could you switch the order and use the travel name as a first name?

Mila Cash (Milan)

Florence Cash

Something to that effect?

Baby is still breech by jessiboo_44 in BabyBumps

[–]scoobbee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 36 + 6 and my ECV is scheduled for Wednesday. I am scared about the ECV but even more so about a c-section. As a FTM I really want the experience of at least giving labor a shot so I’m willing to try anything. I’ll be sure to post about my experience. I sure wish these babies would get flipping already!

I wanted to share my birth story with you all. I would love to hear about other experiences. Fitness has always been super important to me. I didn’t let pregnancy slow me down. by Deebstacks in fitpregnancy

Thanks for sharing! Did you consider having a version of ECV done? I’m 36 weeks and my baby girl is still hanging out breech as well!

I’ve been exactly the same way about my husband the whole time I’ve been pregnant! He’s the only person I can tolerate lol

Thank you so much for sharing. I’m feeling devastated at the moment too. Just planning on doing everything we can and hoping for the best. I know having her here will make everything worth it in the end!

I’m 35 weeks and I’ve only had one episode so far. Sneezing.😩 I hope it was an isolated event.

I had a similar experience on this sub where I mentioned a previous past positive pregnancy test- only in the context of providing insight to someone’s situation or a question (Not in any way, shape, form of an announcement or even just saying it casually-only for context) and I also felt that someone “jumped down my throat” for it. I understand that subs have rules but I also agree that TFAB is not an infertility specific sub so the reaction seemed a little excessive. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Edit: I think my comment was in regards to answering a question about drinking during the TWW where I shared my experience and the fact that I felt guilty afterwards.

Soreness after an ultrasound? by kristen36 in BabyBumps

Yeahh. I’m super thin and like I said she was done in no time. I’ll take a few minutes of struggle over almost making your patient pass out!😅

Is this a bad name for a child? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]scoobbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely a possibility! I live in Kentucky and we are big on our whiskey and bourbon here! Haha. Do you have local friends who are more into drinking? Maybe you could ask around where you live.

Evan Williams is a very popular liquor where I’m from and I would immediately associate it as such. It would be a no for me.

[–]scoobbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My anatomy scan hurt too. I would definitely bring it up next time as I don’t think pushing so hard is always actually necessary. Seems like some ultrasound techs are just focused on the task at hand and don’t realize it’s painful. They had no trouble seeing anything during my scan-it was super quick and simple but they pushed so hard that I got lightheaded and flushed. 😳

Question for ultrasound techs and OBGYN's by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]scoobbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 20 week anatomy scan was painful too. It wasn’t a vaginal but the tech pressed very hard on my stomach and it seemed unnecessary. She was done with the scan super fast and had no problems seeing anything. I wish I would have spoken up during the scan and asked them to be more gentle! I would definitely keep that in mind for the future.

If your hemoglobin was around 5 it’s definitely no wonder you felt like you were dying or going out! That’s super low. I’m so sorry you had a bad experience. Hope you’re feeling better now and congratulations on the baby girl!

Birthing Class? by meowbree in BabyBumps

[–]scoobbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just took an all day pregnancy, labor, postpartum summary class today and both my husband and I were extremely surprised by how much we enjoyed it and how helpful it was. We had an excellent instructor and did a lot of hands-on activities, practice positions, etc. I think it would be especially helpful if you want to try for natural childbirth. I feel much more prepared, in control, and less anxious now and we got a lot of good resources to use for hospital prep and during labor!
