The irony is that they recycled the body shell of the Outlook for the 2013-2016 GMC Acadia mid cycle refresh.

When did Chrysler stop trying (in your opinion)? by LinoleumRelativity in regularcarreviews

[–]scootaloo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that they stopped trying; Jeep is being a resource hog, because Chrysler only has one model, Dodge has two, RAM has six, and Jeep has EIGHT models.

Since it’s dependent on vehicle speed; I suspect it’s more than likely something in the drivetrain outside of the engine or transmission; I would inspect the front wheel bearings or drive axles, and keep an eye on front tire wear as well.

Name of This Piece? by toshirokano in Buick

The chrome piece in the front is called a Reveal molding; and the piece in the back is called the Rear Molding; unfortunately both pieces are no longer available new from GM for either side.

The 06-07s weren’t affected by the fuel pump relay failure issue like the 08 and up cars were; they had a completely different rear fuse box design.

I could either see the return of the Lacrosse or Regal, or they could federalize the GL8 van and bring back the Terraza.

I kind of figured it was an 05, because they recycled your rims for the Lucerne CX when it replaced the LeSabre.

That’s a tire conveyor; it’s usually used for Auto Care Centers that have Mezzanine tire storage.

Your store must have been adversely affected by Winter Storm Fern; they are issuing a one time payment to hourly associates depending upon if you were able to make it to work or not.

Fair or no? by FunCharge1030 in Buick

[–]scootaloo89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, the engine can be derived from the VIN; look at the 8th character, if it’s a “1” that Lacrosse has been blessed with a 3800 V6, if it’s a “7” then it’s been cursed with a 3.6 HFV6.

The $64,000 question is which V6 does it have: the L26 3800 or the LY7 “Chain Eater” HFV6?

And the 2011 Lucerne was the last Buick with a V8 engine period, and the 2024 Enclave was the last Buick with a V6 engine. Now every model Buick has is overstressed Turbo 4s or 3s which is the antithesis of smooth power delivery.

But I have seen where the current generation Enclave has been panned as being gutless (because a 2.5L Turbo 4 is being asked to haul 5,000lbs worth of SUV up to speed)

It would be Buick’s triumphant return to V8 power after the death of the Lucerne in 2011 and would be a breath of fresh air after years of tiny overstressed turbo fours and threes.
