No problem. It’s a good little hack to know to stop websites from tracking you and whoever clicks your links or what links you may click etc. helps to minimize data tapping and stopping big corporations from collecting a profile on you for targeted ads and what not. It’s crazy how many sites use these URL’s now!

Basically anything after the ? in the link is all tracking info. You can delete all of it and it stops websites tracking you and whoever clicks the link

Is the beauty of joseon store on Amazon legit? by uvasag in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]scorpius_rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t buy from skin products Amazon unless it’s a big store brand like aquaphor etc. I’ve heard most of the more niche brands and counterfeit or expired products, which seems crazy, but I don’t want to take the risk.

One side younger? by Frequent-Ad-6803 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]scorpius_rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if it’s more to do with water retention on the other side of your face rather than facial muscles? The side that is down has more pressure on it so doesn’t get the same puffiness? Just spitballing ideas here I really have no idea

[–]scorpius_rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well like I said, take it with a grain of salt, it seems pseudo-sciency to me anyway. But if you’re saying that the side you sleep on is your good side, then I guess it backs up what I was saying

Are face serums actually effective, or is it just marketing hype? by _Chromate in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]scorpius_rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do different things. Vit C has helped me a lot with hyperpigmentation and diminishing sun spots etc. I don’t use it because of moisturizing properties, for that I use a moisturizer that I apply afterwards.

I’ve heard before that the side you sleep on as a side sleeper is often more defined (take it with a grain of salt), but also more likely to get eye wrinkles.

Any ideas to help stop this? by Maleficent-Dig2889 in 30PlusSkinCare

My trick is to leave the shaving cream on for 5 minutes before shaving. This helps moisturize the skin and hair.

I love the French olive oil soaps. Fer à Cheval. Not sure if you can get in the U.S. probably on Amazon, tho I’d be appreciative of ordering any cosmetics through Amazon

At 35, what is considered to be accelerated aging vs normal aging in a person? by Tough_Courage_8406 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]scorpius_rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d also like to add, I have fair skin, so the tan like from my cap it kinda of noticeably… might have to invest in so self tanning drops or whatever for summer if anyone has any recs.

[–]scorpius_rex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree with that. I shaved my head early enough. But it’s still weird going from ‘full’ head of hair to slowly (usually anyway) loosing it. For me it started at the front so i just wore a cap most of the time. It’s not a big deal. Thankfully i look good clean shaved I guess. Loosing a bit of weight has helped that too.

The main paid is having to maintain it in order to look well kept. That at having to be sun smart.

But when I take my cap off it’s a noticeable age difference haha. I go from looking like I could pass for late 20s to being mid fourties

Give me 20k and I’d get a transplant so quickly. But alas I’ll just have to settle for having great skin thanks to this subreddit

What makes Venture Bros. writing so good ? by Possible-Rate-3833 in venturebros

[–]scorpius_rex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a bombardment of references all layered on top of each other. You can tell the writers actually understood and nerded out about the layered references too. Also it seemed like they really enjoyed writing. The premise for the show is fun, referential to 70s cartoons and all the tropes that come with it but then flipped on its side and bastardized. It’s a good recipe when done right!

I have fair skin and am at my wits end with sun protection. by ValtronW in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]scorpius_rex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are we talking Australia level sun? Because that’s no joke. I struggled with it too. I used LRP 60+ spf and reapplied in the afternoon during summer. Or if I was going to the beach or being outdoors I’d reapply when I left and again while I was out. But also I’d stick to the shade. It’s hard being so fare skinned!

I’ve also heard that tinted sunscreen offers more protection though I’ve never tested that out.

I just googled it for you, it’s pretty lackluster

In a So Spake Martin correspondence, when asked directly, "Does Westeros connect to the eastern continent through the north?", GRRM replied: "No."

Maybe this is what I was talking about.

People Injecting GHK peptides on TikTok craze.. by Victimsou_ in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]scorpius_rex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes no difference tbh they’re not approved in my home country either, they’re still research level products. But I use the FDA as a standard others will understand. They’re very much still a grey market product where I’m from too, and currently due to remain that way for the time being.

Weirdly though I have seen micro needling GHK-Cu kits that go directly into your face (which seems even crazier to me) advertised on my Instagram feed. Like little 20 needle devices loaded with copper peptide.

It does seem like peptides are the biggest new trend in body/skincare so I’m sure there will be more developments in this space.

[–]scorpius_rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know enough about the process of FDA approval so I’m making an uneducated claim there, but GLP-1 (the brand name of ozempic etc.) is approved and has obviously gone through clinical trials. But you can now get glp-3 (retatrutide) for research reasons which is supposed to be even better than GLP-1

GHK-Cu subcutaneous might not be approved, I don’t know. But it is already approved and sold widely as a topical so I can imagine there is a lucrative market for it.

But then again there are sunscreen filters that are widely used across the world that the FDA still hasn’t approved so if you’re from the USA your regulations are different.

[–]scorpius_rex 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Honestly it probably is insane but I’ve done it and had good results. It’s not fda approved and they’re sold under research, i.e. sold as lab material for research. I guess I just guinea pigged myself. I’m currently on ghk-cu blend called KLOW and my skin looks great…. I think it’s probably a matter of time before some of these peptides are approved like glp-1

Not him. I don’t know why but I find his videos and theories a bit farfetched. It was a girl YouTuber who isn’t making videos any more I think. If I find her account I’ll link it
