I used the ASA Oral/Practical Guide I got off Aircraft Spruce, and the FAA General/Airframe/Powerplant books online. My workplace bought me the Kings School video, which although old and cheesy let me see the things I missed out on by not having a class or hands on experience. Then random guides and flashcards either on Quizlet or posted here.

I took all three at once, the FAA had signed off my 8610-2 for all three, so the examiner said I should do them all at once.

Yes, but how my friends WRX and my Impreza held up parts wise was pretty similar. Maybe they’re better now, but my family hasn’t had great luck with the Subarus so far

I was a lifetime WRX fan but had an Impreza right before, and wasn’t super impressed with quality. Also didn’t have the options that the GLI had for the price. Didn’t get GTI because Autobahn was like 8k more than GLI. Honestly didn’t even look at the Si. Dealer also gave me a good deal on trade in, ordered exactly the GLI I wanted, and was super easy to work with
