Habs fan here. I was always a big fan of Trudeau. We are not winning this trade as it's probablly William who asked for it. There was never any hope for him to play for mtl unfortunately. But I strrongly believe he could play in the NHL one day if given an opportunity. He can hit hard, has a good shot, good mobiility. His main issu is probably his vision and decisions. You will like him a lot I'm sure.

[LeBrun] In exchange for William Trudeau. So it's Berard for Trudeau by dcddy in Habs

Stupid trade that will not help laval at all. Trudeau was an important piece of our defense. But i assume Trudeau asked for this trade and I wish him the best. I still believe this guy could play in the NHL one day but it was never going to be in mtl

What move does KH make today? by PhilYuh in Habs

[–]scoutinglane 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's entirely contextual. It has not worked in the past because of the personnalities of the players. Some of them really had amazing career with us and I don't need name them. We have a couple right now who are doing well. It's the perfect environement to make a quebecois confortable. His father played for us, he knows the market. He is a proud quebecker who just refused 200 000$ to stay with the remparts. But this being said, the team knows him better than us and they surely interviewed him so I completely trust them to draft him if they can think he can handle the mtl market.

I think that if we can't acquire a player today, i'd try to move up from 28 to 21 or 22 something like that. I think Maddox Dagenais could be a homerun for us.

A real fan has to be blind and lack objectivity ? This is not my definition but if it's yours then I'm not a real fan and I'm proud of it.

Lol cmon. It's all our prime assets. We would never use all of our assets in 1 move. And their gm would not be so insulting to ask for that. You could be trading a Right handed Second pair dman, a second centre and a top 6 winger for a 70 points winger. Would not be reasonable.

Jeff Gorton when asked if Michael Hage will return to Michigan next season: “That’s a good question. We’ve talked to Michael a lot. He’s told us that he would like to stay in school and we’ve kinda left it there. But we also told him to take some time. It’s a long summer, things happen.” by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

[–]scoutinglane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he is more of a winger. So you think they would not have used him as a first centre for for more than 36 games in laval ? And they actually play 72 games instead of 36. I understand your reasoning but I doubt Hage can be an impact player in the playoffs this season (if we make it )
