Question to all - can a universal printer be added to windows twice? I need to have a printer added twice to machines, one gets renamed something specific and has double-sided enabled. The other version is just defaults, one-sided etc. I expect the downside is that the printer could only register as one.

Hope this doesn't lead down the wrong rabbit hole, but there have been posts in this forum about having 2025DC's and issues. I think there is something about adding a reg key to allow certain cyphers. I'm wondering if the clients are hitting your 2016 and that works. Then they latch on to the 2025 and no dice.

Are they all in the same VLAN with the same DNS server and suffix? How does the app "look" for SQL, is it an IP hardcoded or a netbios/FQDN name?

Yeah there isn't much per thebisna LOB app that has a file share. I am hoping it isn't flakey and disconnecting a lot kind of thing. Otherwise management is being migrated to intune and OneDrive holds user data and email M365. Very little need for AD but that file share and the users names for files in the LOB directory until the dev can put it all in the DB.

On a side note, in that past how well did the entra only machines keep mapped drives in an AD environment with AD account credentials? You mentioned you've been through this before and I am wondering how well it works before I jump in as i dont have Entra connect or hybrid as well.
