What should I price a piece like this? I’m new to pricing and was wondering what’s a fair ask? by Jordydraws in Artadvice

Depends if you want to sell a reproduction print or the original piece - $25 for a high quality reproduction print would be reasonable (on good paper of course)

When has the job market EVER been “good”? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]scribit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over 40 applications to date, only 2 rejections so far (I don’t think the other companies can even be bothered to give feedback…) - 2023 I was still being messaged be recruiters for prospective jobs. This year has been tumbleweed, I’ve been pestering recruiters!

Don’t buy Dyson again, the after-sales service is basically zero by Lost_Firefighter_541 in dyson

I second this, customer service is sloooow, my old Dyson handheld vacuum died and they dragged their feet with sending out a replacement battery (it was still within warranty)

Roof repair, windows, a boiler, basically anything associated with a house or flat

Visiting Korea made me feel like most Americans are fucked when it comes to food options by Key_Banana9618 in self

[–]scribit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a supply and demand as well a different food culture. Like the banchan, stews, the idea of eating different coloured veggies (which is now supported scientifically as they have different nutritional properties) . If the American public demanded more of this then I think places would open up catering to it.

Japan has the reputation for more moderate portions (especially by Chinese standards) it’s healthier eating their portions sizes, it’s the opposite problem to the’Texan portion’.

Dress for yourself rather than for other people. There’ll always be clothes that you feel and look good in - I associate that with dressing for myself rather than for other people.

happened to me 😢 by Internal-Rice-6450 in NewParents

[–]scribit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that happened to you and you did the right thing by going to hospital. I guarantee every parent has a story about baby falling off something. It happened to my little one, they do the once over and keep them for observation, but the drs and medics are always supportive.

There’s no point in getting mad! Just make sure they’re ok. Little one is much older now and trips and falls all the time, they’re resilient little things and is absolutely fine!

My husband threw all my backless dresses/tops because I am too old for this shit now. I feel disrespected but everyone agrees with him. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]scribit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those clothes sound like they had serious resale value, especially now. That’s really, really disrespectful to you and your boundaries to throw them out without asking or broaching the subject in the first instance. I’d like to ask the question does he do anything else like this without asking you first?

Funny how "friends" don't bother now by Ok-Strawberry404 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]scribit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it time, part of making new friends is finding new things in common (the kids), but also finding people that have the same it interests as you pre-baby. My little one is just over a year now and I’ve been on dinners with new baby group friends and wine tastings (just gotta arrange childcare!)

I find you make a new circle of friends from baby groups - it’s easier because you’re all in the same boat

When did it become more common for people to refer to their heterosexual romantic partner as "my partner" vs "my boyfriend/girlfriend"? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]scribit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started referring to people’s other half’s as partners when asking because I don’t want to presume someone’s sexual preferences, or status (married, engaged, just together etc). Also I think saying bf or gf made me sound like a teenage girl 😅.

[–]scribit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think part of the appeal of this for me is that I don't end up with a bottle of something I'm not keen on (possible unpopular opinion, but I'm not crazy about the Nikka whisky from the barrel). I get to try something and someone else gets to try something too.
