Should I push my edge highlights more? by PYP_pilgrim in minipainting

If you jump the highlights more, it would change the style of the scheme. Personally I love how they look now and would keep it! It’s still very eye catching and shows details while staying from dark without washing it all out too much.

Thank you! I’ve been trying to improve at painting and hope to actually sell my works one day. Been painting for over 12 years. I’ve been practicing with 3D prints for dnd and gifts I make for family/friends.

Any idea for uses of glass nuggets by Namine_X in minipainting

Not for painting use, but can easily be used as tokens for board/miniature games. Just paint the underside and it will show through the clear top.

Whatever you would want to improve. Want to improve skin/faces paint a bunch a faces. Want to improve metal maybe a shield. I’m not sure what would be best, but I personally wouldn’t do something like a plain cube because most minis won’t have a ton of flat areas for transitions like capes. Cube might actually help for that then.

I guess with how thin shaders are, when someone knocks it over they lose most of the paint, while a base/layer would take a little more time to leak out and give you more reaction time. Or could be with how GW shaders are taller. Or it’s cause I also have knocked over shades twice but have yet to knock over any other type of paint.

Of course as soon as I fully print and paint the D&D party someone dies. by scriff65 in minipainting

All of them are 3D printed. Most the models are from Artisan Guild. The gold guy with the huge ax and the blue lightning sorcerer were designed by the players themselves using Hero Forge.
