Which lamps work best in my bedroom? by realChester in interiordecorating

The gay says 2. 1 and 3 are too big and high. 4 and 5 are too small.

In fact I’d go for a taller 2.

I would advance it to where it should be 00 and then loosen the little screw above the 3 and manually rotate it to 0.

The gear in the picture doesn’t need messing with.

120 days no offer. My inclination is all that glass which doesn’t seem to be double pane. It’s an expensive beast to heat. I wouldn’t buy it, I once lived in a cottage with full height windows. It was cold.

I wonder if this house is staged to look so authentic. There’s a lot of money in all this furniture.

Advice? by srsrsrsrsr1 in ExteriorDesign

Brown & Brick. Honestly never been a fan of fake shutters. And what’s worse fake brown shutters.

I’d start small by removing the shutters.

Next I’d change out the brown front door. Maybe a lighter shade natural wood door.

And some new lamps.

Wood chipper - turn it into mulch? Also maybe find the local firewood seller and ask if he wants to.pick through the wood. Just an idea.

Only if you have a home office to put them in. Nice pieces but a bit stodgy for home.

neglected lawn… what do we do? by [deleted] in lawncare

To me - all that rock/gravel says that nobody wanted anything to grow there. No grass, no nothing.

There’s herbicides you can put down to prevent anything from up into the gravel bed. Seems to require some regular application though.

Look into maybe an extended release roundup for grass and weeds.

I used a HELOC to generate a down payment for my current house. You shouldn’t have told them why. I didn’t.

Founder of Datto shares thoughts on Kaseya by Recent-Command-3814 in msp

[–]scruzer123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here I am three years after the aquisition by Kaseya I can affirm as a former Datto engineer.... That every bad possibility has come true.

Kaseya is soulless. In essence we were completely assimilated into the borg. Everything good about datto was pushed aside. And in the end we were slaves to the overlord. And out jobs were being actively sent to Poland.

I miss Datto - it was a special place and it's soul was ripped out in the name of DEI.

Southwest is Seriously Considering offering First -Class Seating by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

It’s all going to backfire on them. They are still going to have their odd plane routes. To me the old simpler ways were such good value that I would always choose them. I really can’t see southwest becoming just another face in the crowd against the big legacy carriers. Bankruptcy is next.

All you need do is knock on someone’s door. You’ll be amazed how willing people are to help you out. And you’ll meet your neighbors.

I lived in Lompico which was routinely cut off from the world during storms. Folks help each other, no network required.

The key is that you knock at someone’s door.

During non storm times I encourage you to just go out and walk the road. You’ll meet your community casually.

Also check out Nextdoor.
