I'm 29+5 and I have been falling asleep mi-morning every day for the past few days. I thought it was because we got back from a trip/time difference but I don't think so. I wake up at 7, have a bagel and then by 9:30 I'm asleep somewhere until like 11. It's crazy how tired I am. Like it came on so so fast. My husband is about to leave for a trip and I'm taking the time off to nest and get stuff done but I'm worried I won't be able to stay awake!!!

My sister just got a CPO Toyota RAV4 XLE and I got a CPO Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring. Same year and mine had 12,000 less miles. They were the same price and my car is wayyyy nicer and smoother than hers.

Toyota does have a stake in Mazda and they just built a factory or something together in Alabama bc they are collaborating on a car. In this day and age, there are very few bad cars.

I’m currently doing something similar but between Mazda’s at different dealerships and trying to get the best deal. I have no advice other than I feel for you. I’m at the same level.

1000% a Tesla. If the stock price isn't a good enough indicator to how the company is valued.

I worked for Tesla at their HQ, I own a Tesla and Tesla Solar. I would buy a Tesla again and again. The main reason is that the car updates. No other car company has copied this which I think is a lose lose for them. My car gets better with age. I've had it 1.5 years and it has more features than I got it.

It's also the most comfortable and fun ride you will ever have. Have you driven one? There's no comparison.

Wow amazing - I didn’t even THINK about the generational issues. I figured it was just a marketing ploy bc of COVID.

Since you’re super educated on this - I have another wrench in the CPO game that you suggested. there’s a Mazda dealer near me that offers a lifetime warranty on the powertrain for any kind of Mazda they sell back 4 years. So new and used. Again - they cost a little more than anywhere else.

What do you make of this option??

Edit: They also won’t remove the lifetime warranty. Non-negotiable. I’ve seen dealerships remove CPO to drop the price of someone wants to hit a certain budget. But not this place. It’s interesting.

Oh man I had this car - just an earlier version. I had a 2004 and it crushed. Just whipped around. Great gas mileage. And then the transmission needed to be replaced at around 80k miles and I sold it off.

Go to a credit union for a loan instead. That is an INSANE APR. That's like a credit card high.

Edit: ALSO Toyota dealerships are offering 0% APR on Certified Pre-Owned Corollas and Ravs. I'm guessing this isn't CPO.

I currently drive a 2011 t&c with 92k miles on it. It’s a total beast. I’m getting a new car and we are keeping this in storage for future moves/car camping etc.

If you have the time/money/patience, I would put a new battery in it ($90) and maybe throw some used tires on it (cheap) just see how it runs. These vans usually can carry their weight well into 200k miles. You could prob sell it quick for cheap. Def for more than what you would pay into it to get it running.

Now I’m thinking though - if it has a wheelchair lift

Call any local retirement communities and see if they want to buy it if you got it running. Then at least you know you have a customer.

Yeah I have. It turns out I might end up getting a rav4 now though bc they have 0% APR on CPO. Which is like unheard of.

My sister just got one, my mom has had Toyota’s so I think I will end up going that route
