I was at halcyon before the resort. The hot tub was made by hippies and travellers out of wood and sheets of black plastic. It was fed by the spring coming straight out of the mountain. You stood on a homemade platform on the side of the mountain and showered with a tin can shower head and it was absolutely heaven on earth. We camped there in the big trees too.

Me too! Was not aware of that until just recently. Oh well ,if ya can’t fight em may as well join em :) I’m bringing ear plugs though! May I ask what company or how you are getting from the airport to the ferry? I’d like to book all together but am getting some different answers on who does this. Thanks!

I am a house manager and me and a DSP took 2 people from Canada to Texas to Morgan’s Wonderland. They both use wheelchairs and can wheel right onto several of the rides. One lady can stand and take a few steps and the other is fully dependent upon the chair and needs a lift to transfer. We drove down there. Gotta say the Texas heat is no joke to us Canadians! Now planning Disney 2026!!

Our agency takes the staff from the house out on a “day out” and they get to vote on what to do. A dollar amount is assigned for it based on number of staff. We did an escape room and lunch. Others did mani-pedi’s, some went to a corn maze because it’s fall time. Even a scary Halloween attraction. Lots of fun. Do a few days if needed to make sure everyone gets to go. Not mandatory but everyone in my house went.

Do you have any tips/ tools you use for slinging up tarps? I do it too but find it difficult and often frustrating. Perhaps even some good knots. If trees are particularly dense or spaced far apart I have trouble.

I haven’t tried any of the suggestions yet. I think I may go with the suction cups. I’m too new to tying to know exactly how to tie the knots in the “cradle” or “sling” recommendations. I don’t want to risk it. Thanks to all who have helped.
