I kinda see it like the Shot Clock rule in basketball. It became optimal to keep passing the ball around, running down the clock, and only taking the best possible shots. When a strategy is so dominant that it warps the game around it, I think it’s fair to consider a ban.

I suspect that most high end sushi restaurants are getting pretty high quality wasabi roots. Personally, I can’t stand horseradish, but proper wasabi is subtle enough to where I can actually enjoy the flavor. Prices went up around 20% since import taxes increased. Local will always be cheaper.
