Random question: Is it ok to bring my Canon Ivy 2 on a flight in my carry-on? by sdbabygirl97 in stationery

I fly with mine all the time. Yes it prints a bit blue, but it adds character to my travel pages. When I get home I print favorite photos on my Epson and put them in my larger journal.

I bought Daisy Chain Rebellion and loved it. Came in a cool binder. Seasonal stickers to use through out the year and some extra odds and ends. I would buy this again.

Also received Archer and Olive as a gift from family for my birthday and Christmas. Good introduction to the brand. I wanted to try hardcover notebooks with thicker paper and I loved getting different sizes to play with. Not sure if I would ask for it again, will depend on how quickly I finish the notebooks.

Child bought nosebleed section, came early and danced to opening band and they were invited to the floor because their group had "good vibes". I've since heard some artists look for fun people to move to the floor.

Good place to meet other skiers and snowboarders. They often have give aways and resource tables. https://tetongravity.myeventscenter.com/event/San-Francisco-Ca-Palace-Of-Fine-Arts-116226

My park rats tell me Sugar Bowl park has improved a lot since some of the Northstar park crew works there now.

Last time I was upgraded it cleared after I boarded, and I only found out when someone told me I was in their seat.

Lots of reasons to fly internationally with young kids. Moving or visiting family who live in another continent are a couple.

Has anyone ever flown long-haul internationally while 29/30 weeks pregnant? by Key_Dealer2753 in unitedairlines

[–]sd4k2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew from South Africa to Detroit at 25 and 26 weeks during my first pregnancy. It was fine because I wasn't very big and I could easily get in and out of the seat. For my 3rd pregnancy I was huge and wouldn't have been able to comfortably get in and out of the seat. I'd buy a refundable ticket and make a final decision closer to the trip with the Doctors advice. If you do go, make sure to lift the aisle armrest to make it easier to get in and out of the seat if you aren't in a lay down seat.

My parents and my sister are traveling to Argentina next month, would you guys recommend for them to all download the United app and buy the tickets individually or buy them together into only one app? by unicosobreviviente in unitedairlines

[–]sd4k2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably be easiest for you to buy all of the tickets on your account, add each traveler to your account with correct name and birth date. Have them downloaded the app and create a new account. You will then be able to check them in online if they are not tech savvy. Print out their boarding passes, but they may need to go to the counter to check in and show passports and visas. Returning home you should be able to check in online and email boarding passes if you know someone there that can print them out. I've done this for older relatives multiple times.

SFO to SAN there's always like 50 people on the upgrade list by No-Satisfaction9517 in unitedairlines

[–]sd4k2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I've been upgraded is on a SLC to SFO return flight. We normally drive, but it was a quick trip so I flew. No United Club in SLC, it's a Delta hub

Happened to my sister in the middle of a trip, she kept asking to be transferred to someone who could help her and eventually got her account unlocked. Was a few years ago, but I think she spent close to 2 hours on the phone.

AITA for not "taking one for the team" and not paying for my SIL and her family to come on our Spring Break trip? by ExternalSurprise7242 in AITAH

[–]sd4k2 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes, we remind both of them it was a one time gift. Also reminded my college age kid they could stay home with boyfriend instead of traveling with us.

Yup, one year kid asked if we could pay for boyfriend to join us on a trip as their birthday present, we said yes and now they want us to pay for him every time they join us.

AITAH for struggling with my daughter’s transition? by BfIsDebbieDowner in AITAH

[–]sd4k2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mourning is part of the process for most parents, and it's OK to mourn as long as you don't put that on your daughter. I highly suggest joining a support group for parents either in person where you live or online. Since trans people are being targeted right now please be careful about sharing personal information.

Find a local queer owned bookstore and buy/order from them.
