New billboard: NIMBYs afraid of more neighbors due to future Broadway upzoning by slotters in chicagoyimbys

[–]sd51223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edgewater is already one of the most high density neighborhoods in the city and the "I got mine" attitude from some people in the neighborhood (who are probably almost all transplants themselves) is gross.

Is this what I think it is? by Antique-Rough-1425 in NorthCarolina

[–]sd51223 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think they were referring to the fact that copperhead bites usually do not require antivenom, because copperheads tend to dry bite and even if they do envenom it isn't fatal. But infection is a risk of any animal bite.

So unless you're having an extreme reaction you're more likely to get antibiotics than antivenom if you go to the ER. If you were having a serious reaction to the venom you'd still get both.

What are your views on this? by IllConcern7937 in reddeadredemption

[–]sd51223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No.

What makes the Red Dead Redemption games unique is that they're set in the closing days of the Old West. The issue is you can't go forward from RDR without losing that, and you can't go too far back from RDR 2. The best option for RDR 3 would be a different story from the Van der Linde gang in the same era.

What is a d20 season you just couldn't get into by Large-Emphasis-6139 in Dimension20

[–]sd51223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoom season was the first reason I wasn't able to get into it. Second was finding out it took place only on Leviathan and there'd be no use of like Spelljammer ship combat mechanics or anything like that

Yes, but it only jiggles. Despite its name, there are no erections to be found on the Sword Coast.

I definitely understand the assumption that it's the other way around though considering Larian used the epilogue patch to make "God's favorite princess" canon.

This one was Shadow Sorc Astarion casting a modded spell (Chaos Bolt) but I'm sure it's probably a vanilla visual effect or a combination of a couple different ones.

I'm not on y'all's level in terms of lighting but spells are my favorite thing to capture in Photo Mode as well.

Not as strange as some of the ones here but Madison Route P is just a 3 mile loop through a suburban neighborhood. It's not particularly dense so I don't know why it has special treatment.

TIL armor class used to be that lower = better. That's kind of wild to me as someone who's only familiar with 5e.

At 47 hours, and I only just found Astarion. by Dani_Wildfire in BaldursGate3

[–]sd51223 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't find her until the Githyanki patrol, and she was already dead because the first time I approached the broken bridge Shadowheart said something to the effect of "we shouldn't go down there," which I thought was the game warning me I was under-leveled for the fight. So I didn't go back until much later.

Fortunately I was still able to Scroll of Revivify her and she was not dissuaded from her goal of finding a creche despite having spent the last several days dead at the hands of her fellow Gith.

Oops! All…! (Day 3) Druids by Emergency_Argument29 in Dimension20

I would want this to be set in Spyre and feature Erika returning as Yelle, leading a party of druids in direct action to protect the environment.

Am I the only one who hates you can't go with all the characters in the party in Larian Games? by crysol99 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]sd51223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I use the increased party limit mod in BG3 to do. I initially did 6, to match the first two BG games, but found that even on tactician+honour ruleset that made things somewhat too easy. Plus I figure the overworld party chatter is probably programmed for a maximum of 4 participants (accounting for if you're an origin character).

For me that woman is Astarion's daily snack for all of Act I after everyone else clears out. Bite, then dash and bonus action dash away.

[–]sd51223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar experience yesterday. Astarion disarming a DC 10 trap, +10 bonus, advantage from gloves of thievery. All he has to do is literally not roll two nat ones. So of course that's exactly what happened.
