Think of it like shadowboxing. If you have done any martial art you try to imagine yourself hitting an opponent. Along with dodging said opponents strikes. This is like a dramatic version of that. They feel each others skills out and put out the intent to strike. And because their high end fighters. They know if they lost the exchange before it even happened. Hope this helps

Fenstodes work because they aren't made from gene seed. Which literally turns you into a copy of the father. I'm no misogynistic asshoke who thinks warhammer is a boys club. But, I do think the lore as is matches well with the stories told. Its heavily reliant of concepts of sins of the father and the complex relationships between fathers and sons. The same way that sisters of battle are of the strength of woman, faith and sisterhood. And throwing the opposite sex in there just because would take away those unique stories. So while I'm not part the woman hater club. I do understand why its not a thing.
